Poll: Which of the following RWBY fanfics would you like me to write next? (You can choose more than one if you like.) (The summaries, ratings, genres, and characters for the fics can be found in my bio page for your convenience.) (Once I start writing for the chosen idea, it will be removed as an option in this poll and will be marked as "[IN PROGRESS]" in the bio-page list.) (Please vote quickly. I will write the one with the most votes by the time I upload the one marked "[IN PROGRESS.]") :-) Vote Now! |
![]() Author has written 7 stories for Frozen, RWBY, Fairy Tales, and Kill Bill. "As the daughter of a Priest and a Nurse, I think it's only natural that I want to help." -- Yours Truly. "...You, mouse, can tell Gregory a story. Stories are light. Light is precious in a world so dark. Begin at the beginning. Tell Gregory a story. Make some light." -- Gregory the Jailer, Despereaux, Kate DiCamillo. "The world is dark, and light is precious. Come closer, dear reader. You must trust me. I am telling you a story." -- Despereaux, Kate DiCamillo. Hello, I'm The Professor of Fixing Things, but you can just call me Professor. I'm just a gal who knows that words wield immense power to both hurt and heal, and my goal is to use my pen and paper to bring happiness and healing to the lives of as many people as possible. There aren't very many stories here yet, but I have been reading FanFictions for years. Please feel free to read what FanFictions I have when I upload them. I have just begun college and an exciting (not to mention tiring) new job, however, so don't expect regular or frequent updates, but do expect them to happen eventually. I hope you enjoy my stories! PROGRESS REPORT ON INCOMPLETE FICS: Reveal and Feel (Frozen): Currently on hiatus due to writer's block and lack of inspiration, but worry not, I hope to get that inspiration back as soon as I can. Until then, I will write for RWBY. Tears in the Night (RWBY): Almost finished. I just have to finish up the last chapter. I hope to have the third and final chapter finished, proofread, edited, and published before the month is out (before June 30th, 2018). UPDATE: Due to my father having surgery this week, I have moved the date to the thirteenth of this July. I'm so sorry, but my family comes first. I hope you all understand. (If y'all could please pray for him and for my sick mom, I would really appreciate that.) UPDATE: *sigh* It'll get done when it gets done. My parents have not stopped reminding me that college tuition won't pay for itself, so my need to find a job must come first. Sorry again. UPDATE: IT! IS! COMPLETE! *falls out of chair and onto floor* CONTENT QUESTIONS I THINK GROWN UPS AND SOME KIDS MAY HAVE ABOUT MY WRITING: [ "Are there any specific things that you won't write?" Yes, there are certain things that I refuse to write. I refuse to write smut. I refuse to write incestuous pairings. I refuse to write slash pairings. I refuse to write polygamous pairings (OT3's and the like). If you want to read those kinds of fanfics, you are more than welcome to leave my bio page and search elsewhere, 'cuz you won't find them here. Bye, see ya later, and have a good day. (That wasn't sarcasm, I genuinely hope you have a good day.) "What about swearing? Will we see any foul language in your fics?" You will find little to no swearing in my fics. I say "little to no swearing" because once I used a minor swear word in the way it was intended to be used (to clarify, I had a character say, "Damn you," to a demon; to damn something/someone is to condemn it or them to Hell and demons are already condemned to Hell, but it's still not a nice thing to go around saying to people), but that is the only recorded bad word I have in all my fics combined. Other than that one time, though, no swearing, bad words, foul language or taking of the Lord's Name in vain will be found here, just an abundance of "gee darn it's" and "oh, poop's" and things like that. "Oh, fart," is the closest I will ever get to an F-Bomb. "So are all of your stories kid friendly? What about trigger warnings?" While there will never by any sexual content or swearing-sprees in my fics, that doesn't mean that all my fics will be 100% kid friendly. Some fanfictions might discuss topics that are too serious or sensitive for kids to know about just yet, such as depression, or death, or the gory details of war, or maybe the story is just a bit too scary to read before bedtime. (That being said, not all of my stories are like that or will be like that.) So look at the ratings, read the summaries, read any trigger warnings that I may have for a fic, and use your common sense. If you think a certain story of mine will trigger you or make you upset or give you nightmares, then just don't read it. Duh! Kids, if you want to read one of my stories, but it has something that you're not allowed to read about, like it being too scary or something, then just don't read it! You don't want to get in trouble, and I don't want you to get in trouble. So use your commonsense and listen to your parents, okay? Okay. :-) This is my "G, PG, PG-13, PG-14/K thru T FanFiction Content Rating Policy." It exists because of my morals, because of my commonsense, and because there are far too many dangerous/inappropriate places on the internet already. None of my fanfictions will ever be rated M. That is a promise.] "What about Spoilers? Will you label something that has spoilers in it?" Yes, I will label my fics with Spoilers Warnings/Tags when I think it is necessary. You can and should expect to see things like, "Volume/Season 1 Finale Spoilers!" or "Spoilers for end of movie!" or "Spoilers for [fill in the blank]!" Sometimes, however, I may forget about one or two teeny tiny little things and forget to tag it as spoilers, so sorry in advance, but I'll do my best not to do that. "What about politics?" Fictional politics (ex. High President Rassilon of Gallifrey vs Lord Borph of Pluto), yes. Past real politics (ex. Xerxes vs Leonidas or Churchill vs [whatever his opponent's name was]), maybe some references if I think it will add to the story. Current real politics (ex. Trump vs Clinton), no. "Death?" I'm not George R.R. Martin, but there might be some death on occasion depending on the story. But most of the time, no. "What sort of content can we expect from you? What sort of stuff do you usually write?" I usually write a lot of BFF/platonic/familial stuff. Once in a while, I might get inspiration for something romantic, but most of the time, I like to write platonic/familial fluff, angst, hurt/comfort, and fantasy. I'm all about the BrOTP's (I actually have more BrOTP's than OTP's.) Also, poems. "How often do you update your stories?" Glances at clock and calendar nervously* ...Eventually. I confess I'm not the best multi-tasker or time-manager out there (forgive me), but if it's any reassurance, I will NEVER leave a story incomplete forever. I am a Greek Orthodox Christian. "What does that mean to me?" It means that my stories may occasionally reference my faith, such as, for example, a character praying for a loved one, or the discussion of angels and demon's, or people talking about what happens after death, or references to the Bible and/or the saints. Those topics don't/might not show up in all my stories, but if you don't like those topics and/or my faith, or if those topics and/or my faith make you upset or uncomfortable in any way, you are free to leave and search for stories elsewhere. I am not twisting your arm and I won't twist your arm. God gave us all free will to make our own choices, and I acknowledge and honor that. As a Christian, I am called to be loving to everyone I interact with (whether talking with someone face-to-face, or leaving a review on the internet). So if you and I have different faiths and beliefs, I will still care about you and be kind and friendly in my reviews. :-) Even if I don't like something in/about the fic (like a ship or whatever) I'll still try to be nice, and I'll tell you what I DID like about the fic. :-) I will be honest about what I thought, but I will also be kind. :-) Why the username 'The Professor of Fixing Things'?" Because my alter-ego is a Time Lord (Time Lady?) called "The Professor" who is a nurse and TARDIS mechanic. (She's sort of a Doctor Who OC.) She's the Professor... and she fixes things... and people. And I want to help fix people, too. (*Cough* I'm not actually a professor *cough*) I am currently obsessed with: Frozen and RWBY These are the things that I am most likely to write fanfictions for at the moment, but I have a bad habit of starting fics and never finishing them, so I'm going to try to deal with them one at a time. If I'm currently working on a multi-chapter fic and suddenly get attacked by the plot bunnies of a different fandom, I might either ignore them, or I'll break down and write a quick one-shot before re-focusing on the multi-chapter fic again. (I'm saying this because the plot bunnies haven't left me alone since starting RWBY [I've got eight type-written pages of RWBY fanfic ideas, I kid you not. Uhg.]). Some fanfics for RWBY that I'm planning on writing (you can vote for which one you want me to write first at the top of my bio page) (also please note the spoiler tags) : 1. Turned Tables: Yang was always there to comfort her little sister whenever she had a nightmare, got hurt, or was sad, but when our favorite blonde brawler is upset... who's there to comfort her? Rating: K. / Genre(s): Hurt/Comfort, Family. / Character(s): Yang X.L., Ruby R.. 2. The Best Laid Plans of Students: Weiss was so excited when she started writing this essay, but she's found out too late how flawed it actually is. Scrambling to find unbiased, legitimate sources has left her staring at Wikipedia in frustration. With the paper due tomorrow, only one person can help her: Yang. (Inspired by something that actually happened to me.) Rating: K. / Genre(s): Hurt/Comfort, Friendship. / Character(s): Weiss S., Yang X.L.. 3. Sweet Surprise: After having a rough day at school, Ruby just wants to go take a nap... or eat something sweet and sugary that is totally not good for her and is guaranteed to rot her teeth. Unfortunately, Yang needs help with some chores. Oh, joy. Will Ruby ever satisfy her sweet tooth, or will the list of chores never end? Rating: K. / Genre(s): Humor, Family. / Character(s): Ruby R., Yang X.L.. 4. Shouting At Nobody: Blake scowled and slammed her book closed before crossing her arms. "You have got to be the most ignorant person I've ever met in my entire life!" Who on earth is she shouting at? The ninja of Team RWBY has a tendency to rant at fictional characters in her books, which can be very amusing for anyone stealthy enough to not get caught listening. Rating: K. / Genre(s): Humor. / Character(s): Blake B., Team RWBY, Team JNPR, Sun W.. 5. Actions: Jaune is frustrated about his failed attempts to woo Weiss and asks Pyrrha, "What even is love?" Her response? "Go jog three laps around the school and then meet me in our building's common room and I'll tell you what love is." What on earth is she doing? Rating: K. / Genre(s): Romance, Friendship. / Character(s): Pyrrha N., Jaune A.. 6. Sun's Library Card: After getting Sun a library card, Blake has shown him many of her favorite books, and they now spend a lot of time together reading and talking about what they read. Will his vocabulary and in-battle quips improve? What will his favorite books be? Rating: K. / Genre(s): Romance, Humor. / Character(s): Blake B., Sun W., Neptune V., Team RWBY. 7. If I Die Before You: They didn't know how it happened, but Yang and Blake somehow ended up talking about death, and about what they would do if the other died before they did. TW: Mention of death, depression, and possible thoughts of suicide. BeeFF's. Rating: T. / Genre(s): Hurt/Comfort, Friendship. / Character(s): Blake B., Yang X.L.. 8. (Vol 3 finale spoilers!) The Worst Job: Team RNJR delivers the news of the Invincible Girl's death to the Amazon's mother. (Can count as a RWBY X Wonder Woman crossover.) Rating: T. / Genre(s): Hurt/Comfort, Family. / Character(s): Team RNJR, Princess Diana. [IN PROGRESS] 9. (Vol 1 finale spoilers!) Blake's Favorite Bookstore: It's no secret that there's one bookstore in Vale that Blake spends more time at than any other. She's actually taken Ruby there once or twice. As she takes her team leader there today, she's shocked to see police cars parked outside. The reason they're there leaves Blake in tears... What happened? Rating: T. / Genre(s): Hurt/Comfort, Family. / Character(s): Blake B., Ruby R., Tukson. 10. (Vol 3 finale spoilers!) It Takes a Lot of Guts to Ask for Help: Pride makes it difficult and humiliating to ask for and receive help when you're injured and it's near impossible to do basic, everyday things by yourself. Especially for Yang, given how prideful and stubborn she is. Fortunately (or unfortunately) for her, the nurse taking care of her is just as stubborn. Rating: T. / Genre(s): Tragedy, Hurt/Comfort. / Character(s): Yang X.L., Taiyang X.L., OC. 11. (Vol 3 finale spoilers!) Lost Sleep: What do you do when the girl that you've come to see as your big sister is taken away from you? You turn to the girl that you've come to see as your little sister and ask for a hug. Nora has nightmares and Ruby does her best to comfort her. Rating: T. / Genre(s): Hurt/Comfort, Family. / Character(s): Nora V., Ruby R. 12. (Vol 1 finale spoilers!) Cat Comforts Her Human: Yang was sad and upset. Blake was trying to give her a hug, but her partner keeps pushing her away. But let's be real, no one can push away the affection of a kitty cat for long. BeeFF's. Rating: K. / Genre(s): Hurt/Comfort, Friendship. / Character(s): Blake B., Yang X.L.. 13. (Vol 3 finale spoilers!) The Awkwardest Birthday Ever: A few weeks after Ruby regains consciousness, she turns sixteen. What better way to lighten the dreary mood at the Xiao Long-Rose household than with a birthday party! Right? ...Right? Rating: T. / Genre(s): Hurt/Comfort, Family. / Character(s): Ruby R., Yang X.L., Taiyang X.L., Team RNJR. 14. (Vol 3 finale spoilers!) First Blood: Several days after waking up at home, Ruby is having dinner with her family, when suddenly, her fork falls from her hand. The reaper shudders as her hands fly to cover her mouth, "Oh, my gosh, I killed someone!" Killing Grimm was one thing, killing an actual person was something entirely different. Rating: T. / Genre(s): Hurt/Comfort, Family. / Character(s): Ruby R., Taiyang X.L.. 15. Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder: Also known as "ADHD." Nora has it, and it makes life... interesting. The one question that everyone has, however, is, "Ren, WHY ON EARTH ARE YOU GIVING NORA COFFEE?!" Rating: K. / Genre(s): Humor, Friendship. / Character(s): L. Ren, Nora V., Team JNPR, Team RWBY. 16. (Vol 1 and Vol 3 finale spoilers!) Jiminy Cricket: Penny has basic information on human communication, but is the definition of "socially awkward." She has a basic morals program, but sometimes it's hard to decide the best course of action. Her father knew this, and he prepared for this. Rating: T. / Genre(s): Family, Tragedy. / Character(s): Penny P., Penny's Father, Ruby R.. 17. (Not RWBY. Frozen.) "WRITE THE NEXT CHAPTER OF REVEAL AND FEEL ALREADY!!!! *frustrated noises*" (Also, I have some ideas for RWBY fanfics that take place during or after Volume 5, but my mom reads my fanfics and she hasn't even started Volume 5 yet and I don't want her to read any spoilers. But don't worry, once she finishes it, I'll put the ideas up here in this list.) Just some words to live by: "A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word 'darkness' on the walls of his cell." -- C. S. Lewis. "One of the most cowardly things ordinary people do is shut their eyes to facts." -- C. S. Lewis. "The best revenge is to be unlike him who performed the injury." -- Marcus Aurelius. "It is a curious thought, but it's only when you see people looking ridiculous that you realize just how much you love them." -- Agatha Christie. "Where the Lord closes a door, somewhere He opens a window." -- Maria, The Sound of Music. "I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music." -- Albert Einstein. "Authors are shy, unsociable creatures, atoning for their lack of social aptitude by inventing their own companions and conversations." -- Agatha Christie. "Without forgiveness, life is governed by... an endless cycle of resentment and retaliation." -- Roberto Assagioli. "The best time to plan a book is while you're doing the dishes." -- Agatha Christie. "Your theory on my inability to cruelly and mercilessly inflict excruciating emotional pain with just a ball-point pen and a few sheets of paper is most illogical." -- Yours Truly. "In the deepest slumber--no! In delirium--no! In a swoon--no! In death--no! even in the grave all is not lost." -- The Pit and the Pendulum, by Edgar Allan Poe. "Don't be ashamed to weep; 'tis right to grieve. Tears are only water, and flowers, trees, and fruit cannot grow without water. But there must be sunlight also. A wounded heart will heal in time, and when it does, the memory and love of our lost ones is sealed inside to comfort us." -- Brian Jacques. My Mom: "Where's your spirit of adventure?!" Yours Truly: "Hiding behind my common sense." "Two heads are better than one, but when in doubt, consult a third." -- Yours Truly. "No man chooses evil because it is evil; he only mistakes it for happiness, the good he seeks." -- Mary Shelley. "Neither blame or praise yourself." -- Plutarch. "Write every story at least twice; you realize all the things you want to change the second and third times around." -- Yours Truly. "The whole of life is but a moment of time. It is our duty, therefore, to use it, not to misuse it." -- Plutarch. "We cannot learn without pain." -- Aristotle. "Choose your words wisely... for they may be your last." -- Captain Hook, Once Upon a Time. [Concerning a time I messed up] "It was a mistake; learn from it and move on." -- My father. "There's no such thing as 'cool kids,' just a bunch of weirdos who are trying to fit in and be accepted for who they are." -- Anonymous. "Take care of yourself, kid. 'cause someone really cares about you." -- Sans, Undertale, Toby Fox. "As you think, so shall you become." -- Bruce Lee. "When it comes to temptation, don't trust yourself." -- My father. "When someone is going through a storm, your silent presence is more powerful than a million empty words." -- Tumblr, unknown url. "I'm not afraid of werewolves or vampires or haunted hotels, I'm afraid of what real human beings do to other real human beings." -- Walter Jon Williams. "The secret of the care of the patient is in caring for the patient." -- Dr. Francis W. Peabody. "There's a thin line between confidence and arrogance... its called humility. Confidence smiles. Arrogance smirks." -- Unknown. "The idea is to write it so that people hear it and it slides through the brain and goes straight to the heart." -- Maya Angelou. "Whenever a doctor cannot do good, he must be kept from doing harm." -- Hippocrates. "We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the Courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who would pervert the Constitution." -- Abraham Lincoln. "I once read somewhere, 'When authors write mean plot-twists/character deaths, do they cry or laugh and have tea with Satan?' The answer to that is... both. When we come up with the idea, we laugh and 'have tea with Satan,' and we cry when we actually write it." -- Yours Truly. "Courage, dear heart." -- Aslan, The Chronicles of Narnia, C. S. Lewis. "Just one day, let's forget about our problems. / Let's fall in love with live and let's be free. / The sun will never fade! / The night won't steal our day! / Let's dance and laugh and love and / let's just live!" -- Let's Just Live, Jeff Williams (feat. Casey Lee Williams) [RWBY]. "This hasn't all been mapped by fate, / This is the future we create / And we're powered by / Ev'ry tear that's dried! / Can't wish away / The dismal days, / Can't bring back what is gone. / Won't waste more tears / On yester-years, / Instead, we'll carry on! / We'll win for sure! / We will endure! / And though our goal is far, / We'll be the ones / To touch the sun! / The triumph will be ours! / The triumph will be ours!" -- Jeff Williams (feat. Casey Lee Williams) [RWBY]. "BINGO!" -- A kid at work holding a handful of Uno cards who thought he won the game. Imagine that you made something and showed it to your friends, asking them what they thought about it... then they just looked at it, then at you, then back to it again, then went right back to what they were doing before you bothered them. "WELL?! WHAT DID YOU THINK OF IT?! DO YOU LIKE IT?! DO YOU HATE IT?! DON'T LEAVE ME HANGING!! TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!!" That's what it's like when I see that over a hundred people have read a fanfiction of mine... but no one has left a review. Then I'm left here thinking, "WELL?! WHAT DID YOU THINK OF IT?! DO YOU LIKE IT?! DO YOU HATE IT?! DON'T LEAVE ME HANGING!! TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!!" If you happen to read one of my stories, please leave a review. Even if it's very short and it's only on one chapter, even if you don't like the story, I'll gladly take whatever constructive criticism y'all have to offer. IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ! If you are reading this and you're going through some tough times, I just want you to know that everything is going to be okay. :-) I know it might not look like it right now, but trust me, everything will be okay. :-) Just hold on. I know it's hard, but just hold on. No storm lasts forever, even if it may sometimes feel like forever. :-) Take care of yourself, use your common sense, and do your best. :-) If there are people in your life who love you and care about you, then turn to them for help. If it looks like there aren't, then find someone. I already know that God loves you, so there's one person. :-) And I care, too. If I didn't care, I wouldn't have written this. :-) God loves you more than you will ever know, so don't worry, everything is going to be okay, just ask Him for help. :-) Like a loving parent, He replies with either, "Yes," "No," or "Wait." So have patience, and trust that He knows what He's doing. :-) Are you still upset? Then while you wait for God to answer your prayer--whatever that answer may be--let me tell you some stories until you feel better. *Hugs.* It's kinda why I have this account in the first place. :-) Thanks for reading all that, I just wanted to let you know. :-) Anymore questions? No? Then class is dismissed. Here's your homework. Have a nice day. No running in the halls. What's that? You're late for another class? Then quit talking and start speed-walking, silly, that class isn't going to come to you! Lol. Thank you for taking the time to read my bio page. I deeply hope that you will stick around long enough for me to tell you a story or two. If not, that's fine, and either way, I hope God blesses you and your day. :-) |
