![]() Hiya, I'm a compleate stranger who's penname happens to be Elia! How do you do? Well, if you want to know more about my life, here goes. I enjoy editing and reviewing whatever I can lay my hands on. The only reason I do not have a beta profile is because I don't like posting myself, much. I will, from time to time, but I haven't so far. So, If you want me to review anything, just send me a message! I'm currently working on a book of my own, as I'm sure many of you are. As for personal traits, I'm a girl, my age is between one and one-hundred, and my hair and eye color is somewhere within the visible color spectrum. I am a huge fan of old-fasioned movies and musicals. The King and I, The Sound of Music, Cats, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, whatever. I have a large collection of VHS's at my disposal. (PM me if you know what a VHS is. A gold star goes to anyone who does. :D) I am a megasuperhuge fan of Lord of the Rings. The movies by Peter Jackson and co. are amazing, and the book by J.R.R Tolkien is even better. If I start to rave about either topic, pinch me hard and I'll snap out of it. :P Onwards to the nessisary-to-the-bio pairings section, where I tell you what couples from books I support and others whom I sniff distainfully at. Harry Potter Harry/Ginny (They are so sweet together.) Ron/Hermionie (We knew this was coming since book six.) Teddy/Victoire (I can't spell her name at all, but what the heck. They're still really cute. ;D) Inheart Dustfinger/Roxanne (Because they're just awesome, and you can't deny it!) Meggie/Doria (Farid... does not deserve to be anywhere near Meggie. He's a very needy character, and sort of whiny. Besides, he was cheating on Meggie from the words "Orpheus' maids".) Percy Jackson and the Olympians I don't really have a favorite couple here. This is, however, one of my favorite books. Artemis Fowl Same here, on both counts. Eragon I suppose the author will make Eragon/Arya a cannon... Actually, here's what I think will happen: Eragon falls for another girl (if it's Nasuada I'll kill Paolini) and after being ignored Arya realizes that Eragon is her twoo wuv! When Eragon won't take her back, she gets all angsty and goes into depression, eventually going to Galbatorix ON HER OWN to fight him because she no longer has the will to live. Eragon tracks her down though, realizing that his love for her has never died. Nasuada insists on coming too, in that endering stubborn way she has, and they, together with Murtagh (who is actually tying to help them only he is bound by the oaths Galbatorix has made him swear to, which he breaks by finding out that he actually loves Nasuada,) Kick ass, only Murtagh dies a dramatic and tear-filled death. (or not. Maybe the Author won't want want of the most interesting characters in the story to die. In that case, he'd marry Nasuada.) They find the green egg, (C'mon. Everyone knows it'll be green.) and, (le gasp) It hatches for Arya/Nasuada!! From there, it's all depending on who gets the dragon that decides what happens. I'm betting on Arya. That way, Eragon/Arya can be a cannon, and Nasuada can be queen. Blah Blah Blah, happily ever after. (Oh yeah, and after all that, Glader asks to have his eldunari smashed so he can be with Oromis again. The Author will make this almost as teary a scene as Murtagh's death.) Ahem. I do feel that a pinch might have been in order for that little rant. All Terry Pratchett books They rock my socks, and no one in the world can make me change my mind. His Dark Materials Well... I love the books, I really do, but I honestly can't say Will/Lyra. Maximum Ride I honestly think the series should have stopped at Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports. Why? Because, well, the whole thing was continued for the soul purpouse of the Max/Fang relationship. I don't even know about the pairing things. I suppose I'd support... I don't even know. NEW BOOK REPORT: oh, ye gods... Patterson is using underlines now. UNDERLINES. In his character's dialouge. (I was reading the 'first book' of Fang. Good grief. It sounds like it was written by a fan girl.) Lord of The Rings Best. Books. EVER. pinch Ow. Thank you. Ah, yes, pairings. I'd say, probably, Beren and Luthien, although it is practically a crime to say it like that. pinch Yes, yes, I'm stopping there. And so, you, brave soul, have reached the end of my profile. Although I have no fics, please feel free to contact me for some free-lance beta-ing. See ya! - Elia |
