Author has written 6 stories for Escaflowne, and Legend of Zelda. 10/24/09 Ha ha, how about an early Christmas present?! I'm now a senior in college, about to graduate with a teaching degree in English (Terrifying, I know). "Kismet" came about because of a writing assignment in one of my English classes. I'm taking currently taking a Teaching Writing class as part of my English major, and I, for better or for worse, showed my prof. some of my "work" from yesteryear. You know, odds and ends, little bits and pieces that I've written over the years and never bothered to post. Polished versions of some of the stories I have posted here (I actually re-worked "Simple and Clean" into the start of a YA novel that I'm hoping to finish in lieu of my thesis in grad school). And, either she's confusing my work with someone else's in the class, or get this -- drum roll, please -- I guess I have a little ol' thing called talent. Who knew? Well, you all apparently. Otherwise you wouldn't be taking the time to read this ;D So, my prof. encouraged me to write. And I did. It's not perfect, and heck, it might even be a little cliche, but think of "Kismet" as my "Thank You" to you all -- new fans, old fans, and even the "You're making Hitomi too sarcastic!" police from over the years. I have no idea if I'll ever get published that "Simple and Clean" spin-off novel published, but I've loved writing over the years and still cherish all the friendships that I've made over the years because of it. I guess I'd also like to thank the Academy and everyone who's helped made this possible. And my director. - me 1/21/07 I've been getting a lot of emails, messages, and reviews of late containing a lot of questions, and so I thought that it would be best that I updated my profile... ;) As the way things are currently, I will not be updating anything. First and foremost because of the time. Most of what I have posted underneath this penname you must understand I began writing during my freshman and sophomore year of high school, and continued well into that of my junior year (I'm currently a sophomore now in college if that gives you an idea of how prehistoric I am). Writing will always remain a huge part of my life, but fanfiction and anime simply isn't any more. For further reading? Check out my favorites sections. You're only as good as what you challenge yourself to read. Beyond that, I know a great deal of you love(d) "Simple and Clean"... So, check out Meg Cabot's "Mediator" and "1-800-Where-Are-You" series -- and anything by Sarah Dessen -- they were a huge inspiration for me as I developed my style. If you have any more questions, comments, or concerns, or want to host some of my work, just drop me a note either here -- I always love to hear from you guys!! - me |
