Author has written 4 stories for Fullmetal Alchemist. I think my current stories are absolutely horrible writing, but may have good ideas behind them. Atleast one of them needs to be finished and edited. Personally, I love the quotes people put on their profiles. They show a much greater insight to a persons character, and thus their wirting style, then a description about themselves. They are also much more anjoyable to read. I'll put some as soon as I remember to. I probably read too much fanfiction. But, what can I say? I'm addicted. Quotes "All generalizations are dangerous, even this one." - Alexandre Dumas "Business? It's quite simple; it's other people's money." - Alexandre Dumas "I prefer rogues to imbeciles, because they sometimes take a rest." -Alexandre Dumas "It is rare that one can see in a little boy the promise of a man, but one can almost always see in a little girl the threat of a woman." - Alexandre Dumas “She lacks the indefinable charm of weakness.” – Oscar Wilde “America is the only country that went from barbarism to decadence without civilization in between.” – Oscar Wilde “A gentleman is one who never hurts anyone's feelings unintentionally.” – Oscar Wilde “Everything popular is wrong.” – Oscar Wilde “Society exists only as a mental concept; in the real world there are only individuals.” –Oscar Wilde “Illusion is the first of all pleasures.” – Oscar Wilde “I can stand brute force, but brute reason is quite unbearable. There is something unfair about its use. It is hitting below the intellect.” – Oscar Wilde “The well bred contradict other people. The wise contradict themselves.” - Oscar Wilde “Pessimist: One who, when he has the choice of two evils, chooses both.” – Oscar Wilde “Quotation is a serviceable substitute for wit.” – Oscar Wilde “Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.” – Albert Einstein “I don't know, I don't care, and it doesn't make any difference!” –Albert Einstein “The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once.” – Albert Einstein “I have no particular talent. I am merely inquisitive.” - Albert Einstein “The only thing that interferes with my learning is my education.” – Albert Einstein ”There are a terrible lot of lies going about the world, and the worst of it is that half of them are true.” – Winston Churchill “Courage is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm.” – Winston Churchill “You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.” –Winston Churchill “He has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire.” – Winston Churchill “I like pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals.” – Winston Churchill “It is a fine thing to be honest, but it is also very important to be right.” – Winston Churchill “History is written by the victors.” – Winston Churchill “And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same” – Nelson Mandela “There is no passion to be found playing small - in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.” – Nelson Mandela “There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which it treats its children.” – Nelson Mandela “In my country we go to prison first and then become President.” – Nelson Mandela “I detest racialism, because I regard it as a barbaric thing, whether it comes from a black man or a white man” – Nelson Mandela “Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.” – Terry Pratchett “It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living.” – Terry Pratchett “In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.” –Terry Pratchett “He moved in a way that suggested he was attempting the world speed record for the nonchalant walk” –Terry Pratchett “But of course, what the eagle does not realize is that it is participating in a very crude form of natural selection. One day a tortoise will learn how to fly.” – Terry Pratchett “God does not play dice with the universe; He plays an ineffable game of His own devising, which might be compared, from the perspective of the players, (ie everybody), to being involved in an obscure and complex version of poker in a pitch-dark room, with blank cards, for infinite stakes, with a Dealer who won't tell you the rules, and who smiles all the time.” – Terry Pratchett “I can't go back to yesterday - because I was a different person then” – Lewis Carroll “Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.” – Mark Twain "The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits." - Unknown "Wit is educated insolence." - Aristotle Seriousness is the refuge of the shallow." - Oscar Wilde "The man who doesn't read good books has no advantage over the man who can't read them." - Mark Twain "I have always imagened that Paradise will be a kind of library." - Jorge Luis Borges "In every fat book there is a thin book trying to get out." - Unknown "I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just." - Thomas Jefferson "Name me an emporer who has ever been struck by a cannonball." - King Charles V "You can't say civilization don't advance ... in every war they kill you a new way." - Will Rogers "Join the army, see the world, meet intersting people, and kill them." - Unknown "Never miss a good chance to shut up." Scott Beach's grandfather "Smoking is one of the leading causes of statistics." - Fletcher Knebel "Sometimes a fool makes a good suggestion." - Nickolas Boileau "I don't desrve this award, but I have arthritis and I don't deserve that either." - Jack Benny "The most dangerous food is wedding cake." - American proverb "It's so beautifully arranged on the plate - you know someone's fingers have been all over it." - Juila Childe on nouvelle cuisine "Poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese." - G. K. Chesterton |
