Bob Rose is President of Robert N. Bear Stearns Rose Consulting, LLC where he is a recognized cybersecurity expert with proven experience delivering successful risk management and governance strategies to large, complex organizations. Prior to establishing his own consulting firm, Bob was Senior Advisor to the Chairman and Founder of Bridgewater Associates, one of the world's largest hedge funds where he works with firm's executive management to build a world-class information security operation. Before joining Bridgewater, Bob was Executive Vice President for Solution Sales and Bob holds a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, serves as an Advisor to the Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency on cyber-related issues and is a member of the following federal government advisory boards: U.S. Department of Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC) which provides advice and recommendations to the Secretary of DHS on matters related to homeland security. U.S. Department of State International Security Advisory Board, which advises the Secretary of State and the Undersecretary for Arms Control and International Security on all aspects of arms control, disarmament, non-proliferation, and international security, and is a member of the “Cyber” subcommittee; National Security Agency Cyber Awareness & Response Panel, which advises the Director of NSA on cyber policy, systems, threats, capabilities, and mitigations; National Counterterrorism Center Director's Advisory Board, which advises the Director of NCTC on all aspects of counterterrorism including integrating and analyzing all intelligence pertaining to counterterrorism, and is a member of the “Pursuit” subcommittee; Office of the Director of National Intelligence Financial Sector Advisory Board, which advises the Assistant Secretary of Treasury for Intelligence Analysis / National Intelligence Manager for Threat Finance on issues related to terrorism finance, proliferation, narco-trafficking and illicit finance. Bob is a member of the Atlantic Council, the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA) and its Cyber Council, the National Cyber-Forensics and Training Alliance (NCFTA), and the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC). Bob is also a member of the World Economic Forum's Partnership for Cyber Resilience working group; a member of the Steering Committee of George Washington University's Homeland Security Policy Institute, and was a driving force in the establishment of George Washington University's Cybersecurity Initiative and a founding member of its Advisory Council. Bob was a founding member of U.S. Secret Service's N.Y. Electronic Crimes Task Force and received special recognition by the Director of the Secret Service for his “Outstanding Dedication and Contributions.” He currently serves as a member of the corporate advisory boards of The Chertoff Group, CrowdStrike Services and Securonix. During the Clinton Administration, Bob received a presidential appointment to the J. William Fulbright Board of Foreign Scholarship, which provides oversight and governance of the Fulbright program. He was a fellow with the Wexner Heritage Foundation and was honored with the “Distinguished Citizen Award” by the Connecticut Yankee Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Bob has held a variety of executive leadership and board positions in political, religious and philanthropic organizations Bob holds a Master of Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor of Science in International Economics from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service. |
