![]() Author has written 67 stories for Rainbow Brite, Doctor Who, Kim Possible, Danny Phantom, Teen Titans, W.I.T.C.H., Winx Club, WordGirl, W.I.T.C.H., Trollz, Monster High, Sintel, Ever After High, Wreck-It Ralph, Duck Dodgers, Angel's Friends, and Tinkerbell. I'm a 61 year old man who loves cartoons, science fiction and fantasy. I've been married for 27 years to another science fiction fan, though her tastes run more toward movies and TV series. Her son died this past February at age 41 from complications of transverse myelitis. We have two cats, JJ and Ripley. I spent 33 years with municipal water departments in Florida and Georgia as a meter repairman, meter reader, and service truck, and am retired. And yes, to some degree, I miss it. I never had a clue what I wanted to do with my life, and stumbled across water meter work thanks to a neighbor. I liked it and was good at it. For me, a major perk was working in the field, generally alone, and away from office politics. My other hobbies, besides writing, include extrasolar planets, long delayed radio echoes, and the Voynich Manuscript. A listing of my series in chronological order (except where noted, all stories are complete): Danny Phantom The Ember Trilogy Ember's Escape The Lydia Trilogy Freeing Lydia Kim Possible The Jinxed series (Jinx from Teen Titans in the KP universe) Kim Possible: Jinxed! The Green Glory series: In a Blaze of Green Glory Fusions Guardians of Middleton (W.i.t.c.h.) Crossover Crisis Point (Angel's Friends) Exchange Program (crossover with Monster High): Fearleader Exchange Monster High (the KP crossovers are related) Setting the Record Straight Rainbow Brite (all are related) When There Were Seven The War of Darkness Trilogy I Shadows of the Past Shy Violet and the Color Machine Mystery Crossover Colors of the Five (Trollz) Sintel The Hidden Years Series Remembering Teen Titans Kagrofdin Passing the Torch Crossover with Winx Club Fairies and Trollz Together Wreck-It Ralph Quest of the Sorceress Crossover with Winx Club Wreck-It Tecna Winx Club The Mirta Chronicles Book I: Death in the Dark Forest Crossover with Tinker Bell A Clockwork Fairy Aelfstangard and I have set up a joint account, WinxTinxInx, for the stories in the series, which are in the Crossover section. Pixie Hollow In Peril Notes on Other Stories I left some subplots open for a sequel to Guardians of Middleton, but it's on the back burner. After they bought it, Disney ruined W.i.t.c.h., and its comic has been cancelled. That left me with a sour taste in my mouth, and not much desire to go back to it. I have no plans for a sequel to Crisis Point. There may be a third Sorceress story, but I have to think of it first. Other Notes My best advice is to write a story you would want to read. It will find its own audience. Don't hesitate to post a story, even if you think you're "too old" for it. Look at me; I'm decades beyond the age of the target audience for any of the cartoons I write for. People like what they like, and there is no telling what that is until they come across it. And if it leads to creativity, that can only be a good thing. I don't do requests. challenges, or accept plot ideas because my muse simply does not work that way. A story I write has to come from me. I am a professional story editor, and beta read/edit for several people, but I decide who to help. It's been remarked upon about how quickly I update stories. The reason is that I don't put anything up until the story is finished. Then I post a chapter a day (hey, I get to have a LITTLE fun when I write a cliffhanger...). Another reason is that it is easier to edit and rewrite before publishing. Also, all of my published stories are complete, so there is no point in adding a follow alert. Fanfiction pet peeves: Holding a story hostage for reviews. This is not being a writer, it's being a hack. A writer writes for the joy of it, and to entertain. A hack writes for the pay (i.e. reviews). Doing so guarantees I'll stop reading and not leave one. "Next generation" stories where the writer shoves the canon characters offstage to showcase their OCs. I'm not saying they can't be well written, but it is not to my tastes because I am here to read stories about the canon cast. Using a spell checker, but not correcting the results when it substitutes the wrong word (example: "throne" instead of "thrown"). That makes the editor in me cringe. It can also be pretty funny: "She threw her arms around her sister's waste." Stories posted as huge blocks of text without formatting. I won't even start reading it. The word is "vile", not "vial". A vial is a small glass container you can put something vile (i.e. nasty) in. There is no such word as "headcanon". 'Canon' is what the creator of the show/movie/whatever releases. Fans do not create canon, they create fanfiction. Instead of "feels", the word that should be used is "feelings". The expression is "you have another THINK coming", not THING. A word with an apostrophe is possessive; without is plural: "The Kimmunicator's scan function."; "There were several Kimmunicators on the table.".
