Author has written 1 story for Escaflowne. Hello there everyone. So I'd guess I should tell you a little bit about myself. I am a teenage girl that lives in Scotland. Favourite TV shows: I like a lot of TV shows and the range is very varied, from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody to Crime Scene Investigation, from 24 to Ugly Betty. My sister thinks its weird that I still love the Disney Channel but I don't care. I believe you should never be ashamed of things you like even if other people think its childish or cheesy. Fave Anime: I've liked loads of anime and my favourite is Escaflowne ( the tv series). I think its fabulous and it incorporates a lot of themes such as fantasy, war, politics, discrimination in society, fate as well as romance and teen issues. I try to convince my family of its greatness but they hear things like 'cat-girl' and 'boy with wings' and 'guymelefs' and they think its strange. I had a friend who loved Escaflowne but she moved to a different continent a long time ago, so it's difficult to find someone to discuss it with. My favourite characters are Van and Hitomi, they are really sweet together. A lot of people on fanfic seem to hate Allen. I don't think he's that bad, and he fills his role of 'the other guy' in the series pretty well. And is it just me or have other people noticed that Dilandau's acquired a cult following? Movies: I love movies, but if I listed my favourites I'd be here till the cows come home( its just an expression someone I know used, I don't own any cows) Well I thought I'd leave you with a couple of quotes( I just have to run upstairs and get my quote notebook, hang on...) Right I'm back. Here are some quotes that I think have a special meaning: A dream is a wish your heart makes. (Disney's Cinderella) Courage is not the abscence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important. (The Princess Diaries movies) Loneliness and the feeling of being unwanted are the greatest poverty.( Mother Teresa) Please believe that one single positive dream is more important than a thousand negative realities. (Adeline Yen Mah, authour of 'Chinese Cinderella') I thought I'd tell you a bit about my pen-name. I'm not a fairy princess and I don't live with the delusion that I am one. I do like fairies though. I gave myself that pen-name because when my little brother says he wants something and I don't want to give it to him I say to him'Well I want to be a fairy princess but we don't always get what we want'. So that's how my pen-name came about. Right OK I had better go. princessoffairies |
