Author has written 5 stories for Bridget Jones' Diary.
"I suppose I write for the same reason I read; to live a double life; to go places I haven't been; to examine life on Earth; to come to know people in ways,
and in depths, that are otherwise impossible; to be surprised. Whatever their other reasons, I think all writers write as part of this sort of continuum:
to give back something of what they themselves have received."- Margaret Atwood
The above pretty much sums up my writing philosophy. I cannot remember a time when I did not identify myself as a writer in some way. I dabble in both fiction
and poetry, though I lean more toward the former. My current projects fall under the genre of fanfiction. As much as I love creating original fiction,
there's something especially rewarding about entering and participating, as a writer, in a story you've read--of
interacting with characters you've come to know and love as a part of the world you inhabit--and to in turn inhabit their world. Currently I am obsessed
(or just extremely focused, call it what you will) with the BBC's incarnation of Sherlock Holmes: the television miniseries "Sherlock," starring Benedict
Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. I also have a long and complex relationship with the characters of Helen Fielding's Bridget Jones novels and their respective
film adaptations. As a lifelong card-carrying Colin Firth fan, I have an especially soft spot for Mark Darcy. I'm also intrigued by the possibility of
a Peter Guillam/Bill Haydon pairing in the world of John LeCarre's novel /Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy/, recently made into a film adaptation starring
the before mentioned Mr. Cumberbatch and Mr. Firth.
In any case, I thank you for reading, and hope you will enjoy what you find here.
