![]() Author has written 2 stories for Ninja Turtles. Mikey's WEBSITE I have made a new website dedicated to Mikey from the TMNT. So anyone who likes the Ninja Turtle, or Mikey to be specific, can come and visit, and if you like it, then join! Thanks to everyone in advance! Here's the link Dear Reader: I am willing to let you know many things about me through this profile. Please do not use it against me in any way for I have a dangerous imagination. You will later see why my warning is logical. I would like to begin by pointing out that I am a human. My mother was born in the ocean and my father was born in a cloud. They met during a storm and fell in love. My mother rose from the sea and my father rode the South wind to meet her, they eloped to a secret cave near an ancient hidden world unseen by humans for generetions. My brother was born in that beautiful city, but alas, I was not. It was impossible for them to stay together for they were from different worlds. And so, with a heart heavier than the whole universe could carry, they parted ways, leaving me in the care of my brother and telling him that I was not to see them until I was ready. Now you see why it was important to point out I was a human. I now live in a place where the ocean is near and where the air dances with my hair in a choreography only they understand. It was during one of my visits that they finally appeared to me. I knew I should have been scared for I had been raised in a city full of humans ignorant to the secrets that filled this world, but I was not. When I saw them, I was at peace. It was then that they told me about my special power. I listened, and became entranced by the possibilities that lay before me. But, mind you, my powers do not lie in the water or in the wind, but in my hands. My hands can create whatever I wish. Whatever my imagination forms in its endless space, I can bring to life, for everyone to see. It was then that I began creating creatures, forms of life that the humans had never before seen. But my power was not to be contained. I searched for ways to make the most of it, ways to make it more powerful. It was then that I realized the power of words. When I saw their power, I realized that there was more than one way to channel my ability into the world. And I saw that through words I could make many others follow my imagination wherever it wished to go. It gave me power over the imagination of others. Forcing them to imagine the worlds I made and desperate for more. So I read, and was drunk with its power sooner than I was ready and found myself addicted to it. They are dangerous, the words. They consume without mercy, making reality a mere ilusion and fantasy a concrete fact. But I fought back I took charge and embraced what I had absorbed. I wrote and wrote and made a world of my own and I saw that soon others had become drunk to the power, and then I knew, I knew that I had achieved the power I sought. I showed my brother and offered him the same power, but although he was impressed, he shook his head and said that he had already harnessed a powerful ability. What he wrote entranced others, but it was not because they read it, but because they could hear it. My brother has many instruments he uses to channel his power, and even if he doesn't, his voice alone is enough to capture attention. And so my hands continue to create the creatures from my imagination. I have not forgotten them, they are part of me. But I also trap others in my words, and they become addicted to them, just like once I was as well. I hope you can see now how much I have said about myself here. And like I said before, do not try to use it against me, for my imagination is something to be feared. It is with regret I leave you here, for I need to channel my imagination, it is calling me. Sincerely, The Writer This site helps a lot when developing your characters. I highly recommend it. FANFICTIONARY I honestly don't know what came over me. I was riding the train when suddenly I had an idea about making a dictionary of fan fiction terms. Anyway, here are the most commonly used terms I've seen up to now. If any of you think I'm missing something feel free to message me. Angst - A fanfic with great emotional power or a story where a character complains about how the world is a terrible place. AU - Alternate Universe AT - Alternate Timeline A/N - Author’s notes Badfic - Really bad fan fiction, often done on purpose and written to amuse. Canon - Refers to the “official” source material which fanfics can be based on. For example, a canon for Batman could be the comic books that first came out. This means that if Batman was incredibly serious in the comic book, the Batman in fanfiction that is canon-based would also be that way. Challenge fic - Fanfic done as a result of a challenge Crossover - A story where characters from two or more existing stories interact. Dark - Plots that introduce things such as death, violence, betrayal or loss into stories that normally don’t have these elements. Drabble - A self-contained scene that doesn’t have a larger purpose. It is precisely 100 words. A half-drabble is 50, a double-drabble is 200. Feedback/Flame - Responses sent to a fanfic’s author. Rude feedback – however justified – is a flame. Fluff - Refers to a short story, chapter or part of a chapter where the readers get a heartwarming feeling. Lemon - Sex stories in general. Lime - A story with sexual theme but not necessarily explicit. Mary Sue - A character who acts as the authors fantasized proxy in a fanfic. Usually seen as a unstoppable badass or a romantic foil for a favorite character. Movieverse - means stories that refer or are based on the movie adaptation of books, games, series, etc. Name Smooshing - This is an alternate way to refer to a pairing. It combines the characters names into a single word. An example is Aang and Toph from "Avatar: The Last Airbender"; their names would combine into Taang. One-shot - A single chapter work that stands alone. It can sometimes become a two-shot or even a three-shot. OC - Original character. A character created by the author. OOC - Out of character. A character who acts different from its canon. Plot Bunny - The central idea of a fanfic. POV - Point of view R&R - Read and review Round Robin - A story written by a group of authors, taking turns at chapters. Shipping - Pairing between characters who are not involved or seen involved in a canon. Sillyfic - A non-serious fanfic written purely to amuse. Slash - Romance fanfiction that deals with male homosexual relationships. Also known as Yaoi. Songfic - A genre where the author takes an existing song and uses the lyrics to create a theme for the story. Spin-off - These are serial or single fanfics set in a given universe, but not focusing on the characters from the source. An example could be the children or successors of the canon characters. Spoiler - An event or fact from canon material that’s revealed before the reader has seen it. WAFF - “Warm and fluffy feeling” or “Warm and fuzzy feeling”. 20 Random Things About Me 1) People tell me I'm weird and I feel proud of it. 2) I feel like drawing in the most random of places. 3) I think coffee is an essential part of a healthy breakfast. 4) In class I like to doodle or write on my notebook instead of paying attention to the teacher. 5) Daydreaming to me is as normal as breathing. 6) I prefer cloudy and rainy days instead of bright sunny days. 7) I think drama and romance movies are a bore. 8) I don't get why girls fuss about their look so much (honestly, I don't) 9) I don't get why guys fuss so much about shoes, hair, and cars (I know about a million guys like that) 10) I've wished for the lights in the city to go out just once so I can see the stars. 11) I think facebook is overrated. 12) I've spend a day playing video games without even knowing it. 13) I think anime is overrated, but I still love it. 14) I don't get why people ever stop liking cartoons. 15) People think I act more like a little kid than my own age and I wouldn't have it any other way. 16) Sci-fi and fantasy are my favorite genres. 17) I prefer to buy art supplies than clothes or shoes. 18) I once babysat a kid who's a demon re-incarnated. 19) I think humans need a lesson in living. 20) I love rock, classical, hard rock, hardcore, epic, punk, metal, Celtic, alternative, etc. music (Almost anything 'cept country and Latin Music.
