![]() Author has written 3 stories for Gossip Girl, Twilight, and Song of the Lioness. Hi, I'm Lady Morgan le Faye, or Morgan. I'm 13, in eighth grade, blond hair, blue eyes, 5'4", all-Canadian girl. I am apparently a pretty good writer, but I think that fan fiction and making inferences is my thing. All of my original ideas involve mainly a large amount of research, something that I just don't seem to have the time for. Still, I love to write almost as much as I love to read. I am a very artistic person. I like to write, play piano (I am in Royal Conservatory level 5), and play my tenor saxophone. Other hobbies include reading, listening to the radio, following politics, and, yes, doing homework. I read pretty much anything, but right now I'm mainly into fantasy with an interesting plot (in other words, fantasy with qualities of romance, adventure, or angst), gritty realistic fiction that handles tough subjects, and chick literature (Man, I love being a teenage girl). Some of my very favourites include: Enthusiasm by Polly Shulman Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer (Who else here is in love with Jacob Black the werewolf? swoon) All of the Tamora Pierce series (I've mainly read the Tortall books) Children of the Red King (Charlie Bone) series by Jenny Nimmo (I am absolutely in love with these novels!) Clique series by Lisi Harrison (Oh man, major guilty pleasure!) The Outsiders by S.E Hinton (I read this for school earlier this year and nearly had a nervous breakdown when I read it. I was all sick and depressed, I got so into it. Everybody should be made to read this book before they go to high school, in my opinion. Probably the best book I have ever read) Go Ask Alice by Anonymous (Also one of the best books that I have ever read. Another must-read for any teenager or parent of a teen. The scary thing is, this story is supposed to be an actual diary of a drug addict, which makes the story even more heart-wrenching. It stuck in my head for weeks after I finished it) The Dark Horse (This is an odd, offbeat book that I read for school, but I did really enjoy it) Princess Diaries, Mediator, and All-American Girl series by Meg Cabot (HUGE guilty pleasure!) The View From Saturday by E. L Konigsburg Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer Harry Potter series by J.K Rowling (obviously) Hercule Poirot series by Agatha Christie I'd Tell You I Love You But Then I'd Have To Kill You by Ally Carter (The main character's name is mine reversed!) Booky series by Bernice Thurman Hunter (Best books of my childhood. Unfortunately, the author passed away on my birthday a few years ago) Time Cat by Lloyd Alexander 1984 by George Orwell. It's my favourite ever! I absolutely love it, it's brilliant! That's quite a list, and I've got tons more. I should probably tell you a bit more about myself now. Favourites: Movies: King Arthur, 300, Disney's The Three Musketeers, Twilight Shows: The First 48, any crime dramas, The Mentalist, Doctor Who, NCIS Music: Mostly Alternative bands and oldies like Illscarlett, Linkin Park, The Beatles, John Lennon, The Guess Who and Neil Young (Go Can Con!) Subjects: English, French, History, Music (With my beautiful Tenor Saxophone), Math, and Science Quote: "The prospect is so inevitable, anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong." (Vancouver oceanographer, Phil Nuytten) "There is something delicious about the first few words of a story. You never know where they will take you. Mine took me here, where I belong." |
