"The pen is mightier than the sword" In the midst of mundane, monotonous days, there is an inkling of excitement. It does not tarry for my pleading affection, but it's stay is lengthy enough to spark interest. Within it I find my muse. Of course, it is a rare day when it lingers long enough for me to find an inspiration to build upon. When that unusual happening occurs, you'll check your e-mail to find a package seducing you to it's desirable content - a story worth reading. So, my page may seem to be of no interest, but in due time, it will be worth your minutes. Warning: You may have noticed the lack of valuable information on this page. I cannot describe myself through mere words. My stories will speak for themselves, and you are free to visit my blog, which is linked to on this page. Additional information? According to the Myers-Briggs Personality Type Test, I am an INTP. Completely and utterly confused? GOOGLE it and your confusion will diminish. I might add, for boredom's sake, that my name is Ravleen. STORY STATUS: October 28, 2005What Would the Marauder's Map Say: I had actually written this ficlet over a year ago. I never finished it, but I have six or seven chapters written. I cannot bear the thought of forcing myself to continue with this garbage for which I have little inspiration. It has been deleted, and you'd be well put if you were determined if you wanted to read it. Muse and Bane NEW: Well, I'm building up inspiration for a new story I have planned, a Snape/Lily, to be precise. There are still gaping plot holes and my mind is numb, but I'm getting there. :) FANFICTIONING: In the past, I had been an avid Inuyasha ff reader. As it is aforementioned, I've lost all interest in Inuyasha, though, if you were curious, I was a Kagome/Inuyasha shipper in those days. The flaw in Inuyasha fanfiction was the lack of any real genre except romance, which only worked well if it was AU. These days, my mind is indulged in the complexities of the Potter Plot, as I lovingly dub it. July 16, as many of you well know, was I day I had been anticipating for months. Although I haven't fully immersed myself in Potter fiction as I once did, I have a few ideas brewing which I may write at some point. As we all know, shipping is one of the largest factors in fanfiction, and my ships are not completely out of the world, though they stray from the typical ships which have been highlighted in the actual series. I fiind a vindictive pleasure in illustrating pairings whch were mentioned but weren't elaborated on, or ships which have evidence but were never revealed. Something which would exemplify this is my soft spot for Snape/Lily. I don't entertain the idea of them as a couple, but rather, the notion that Snape may have had feelings for Lily. Apart from romance, I have a taste for plot, bittersweet angst, and keeping things relatively canon. Parting Words: Although I've been suffering from a severe case of writer's block, I may indeed try my hand at some fiction now that HBP has been released and ideas have begun brewing in my mind. |
