I’m a reader, not a writer. Writers work hard to create a decent story, therefore, I try to work hard to give a decent review. I approach stories posted in FFnet in the same way I would approach classical literature. I am acutely (if that can be said) delighted by the following anime and manga because I found in them human and social elements I put a premium on (and the entertainment value)… Kyou Kara Maou – bonding and devotion (many laugh moments); Fullmetal Alchemist – filial love (nearly cried a few times); Nodame Cantabile – perseverance (seriously laughed a lot, music appreciation lessons, uncluttered manga drawing); Paradise Kiss – selfless acts of love (seriously shaken at two instances); Blood+ – unwavering loyalty (Haji’s and Diva's music) Code Geass – passion to pursue personal beliefs (characters neatly drawn and well-differentiated); Black Cat – (nothing huge, the name Train Heartnet has a lovely ring! Sven is paternal. Eve elicits paternal/maternal instinct. Creed needs grieving for); Xxxholic – karma (Ms. Yuuko’s costume changes). ...and as of June09... Junjou Romantica – acceptance of things that cannot be changed! (many laugh moments, overwhelming paradigm shift). |
