 I've read enough over the past decade to have seen it all on this site. Maybe one day I will write something of my own...maybe. I certainly have enough ideas, but my main problem is pumping out dedicated updates. I refuse to leave a story half finished like most fics on this site. Similarly I do not want to make up a story as I go, since stories like that quickly turn into a 500k+ word mess of zero plot progression. But there is certainly a difference between RPing out a 1-3k post on a forum somewhere a week and updating a fic...or is there? In all likelihood, if I do decide to plummet into the realm of fan fiction I would not be able to stop myself from poking fun at all the fandom cliches that I've noticed. And boy are there a LOT of them, especially in the Naruto and Harry Potter sections. |
