![]() Author has written 3 stories for Hobbit, Pokémon, and Sherlock. For anyone wondering about my penname: it is a long story, but I have time. It all happened a long, long time ago. When hobbits lived in peace with the gnomes. Until one fateful day when a young gnome was brutally killed on hobbit land. None among the hobbits knew exactly how it happened. Hobbits are peace-loving and would not want to commit such a crime. Unfortunately, the gnomes did not believe the hobbits and a great unease came over the two peoples. The gnomes blamed a young hobbit that had been a friend of the gnome. The young hobbit had been the one to see the gnome last, and also had been the one to discover the body. The hobbits would not give up the young hobbit to the justice system of the gnomes. Soon a lust for revenge came over the gnomes. At first the acts were small and rather harmless, but they soon grew in severity. The hobbits were forced to retaliate, and they too committed brutal acts against the gnomes. Before they knew it a great war had taken both of the once peaceful peoples by the necks. The war was brutal and both sides committed terrible atrocities. By the end of the war both lands were reduced to little more than rubble. The hobbits, with the majority of supplies fought a war of attrition, while the gnomes, with their superior craftmenship began to build great weapons. In the end, the winner did not matter. Although it mattered during the war, the day after it ended the eyes of the people were returned to reality. The joy at the end was so short lived that the winning side was shortly forgotten, to this day none remember who won that war. Rebuilding was long and difficult, and both hobbits and gnomes were forced to scavenge for food and supplies. The winter was especially cold, many of both factions died. In their loss the two peoples began to band together to cut losses on both sides. When they were finally united the great goddess of mercy sent forth two legendary tools to aid the peoples. A wrench for the gnomes, so they might rebuild the cities and towns for both of the peoples; and a plow for the hobbits, so they might farm once again and bring food, and share with the gnomes through their time of hardship. My pen name is in honor of that glorious wrench that rebuilt the two great peoples. I'm just kidding, I decided I wanted to have an inanimate object for my pen name so I didn't have to stay in character and could post what I wanted. I am rather new here, so you must be patient with me. Constructive criticism is always welcome. What I post will be a surprise, even to me. I often have crazy ideas, some that I even follow! So if one of these days I come out with a story that the main plot line is giant bunnies attacking, don't say I didn't' warn you ! |
