![]() I am a Texan female over the age of 20, that's all you need to know. I love cats, horses, dogs, dolphins, and many more, but why bore you by listing them? I love dancing. I love to sing and I love music. I love movies. I adore sitting in a comfy chair and watching an old favorite. And, of course, I am a bibliophile. Very few things make me happier than curling up with a good book. I enjoy writing, but I am not necessarily an aspiring writer. Writing for me is mostly a very inexpensive way to vent my feelings. It is my therapy and without it, I may very well have been locked up in the loony bin long ago. Some of my favorite quotes: Reach for the moon, if you fail, you'll still be among the stars. Cats are smarter than dogs. You can't get eight cats to pull a sled through snow. ~Jeff Valdez Pints? It comes in pints? I'm getting one. ~Pippin, FOTR You need people of intelligence on this sort of mission...quest...thing. ~Pippin, FOTR Well that rules you out Pip. ~Merry, FOTR Those who dance are considered insane by those who can't hear the music. So that's the reason for all the... ~Will Turner imitating Jack Sparrow, Pirates of the Caribbean, 2003 Dancers are the athletes of God ~Einstein To tap or not to tap...silly question. Dance isn't a form. It's a way of life. It takes an athlete to dance, but an artist to be a dancer. Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did, but she did it backwards and in high heels. It's the friends you can call up at 4 a.m. that matter. ~Marlene Deitrich Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: "What! You too? Thought I was the only one." Good friends, good books and a sleepy conscience: this is the ideal life. ~Mark Twain A friend is one before whom I may think aloud. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson Good thing we've still got politics in Texas -- finest form of free entertainment ever invented. ~Molly Ivins After scolding one's cat one looks into its face and is seized by the ugly suspicion that it understood every word. And has filed it for reference. ~Charlotte Gray Thousands of years ago, cats were worshipped as gods. Cats have never forgotten this. Cats always know whether people like or dislike them. They do not always care enough to do anything about it. Even the stupidest cat seems to know more than any dog. ~Eleanor Clark The phrase "domestic cat" is an oxymoron. ~George F. Will People that hate cats will come back as mice in their next life.~Faith Resnick There are many intelligent species in the universe. They are all owned by cats. A pony is a childhood dream, A horse is an adulthood treasure.~ Rebecca Carroll Riding: The art of keeping a horse between you and the ground. Work like you don't need the money. Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege. ~Unknown |
