Xena and Gabrielle are called by magic to the strange and mysterious land of Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar. The duo team up with old and new acquaintances to solve a mystery and fight a unknown darkness that has it out for the Heralds and Mages alike.

First time story following the development of the relationship between Xena and Gabrielle. The first few chapters are epilogues to several episodes from seasons one - four. The last few chapters all take place towards the end of season four. I'm hoping to upload new chapters fairly frequently over the next couple of weeks.

The way Sarah says Gabrielle and Xena? when they come to rescue her from the cell in "Who's Gurkan?" sparked my idea for this story. It seemed like Sarah had grown up hearing about them together. This is mostly a retelling of "Who's Gurkan?" from children's — Sarah, Virgil and Eve's — perspective.

My name is Gabrielle, Bard of Potedia, former slave to the conqueror and love of her life. My story is not an easy one. Though neither is hers. She has had such an unfair twist of events in her life as do we all I only hope my heart and soul can bring comfort to hers. This was intended to be my story, though I find it to be better referred to as our story.

Post series story, after Xena's death Gabrielle finds herself falling down a dark spiral of grief, isolation, pain, jealousy and rage. Xena has stopped appearing to her in visions, and Gabrielle has exhausted every avenue she knows to get Xena's attention. She decides instead to plot to get Xena to come chasing after her.

AU - When her newest play proves a flop, a disheartened Gabrielle turns to travelling for inspiration. During her soul searching trip she comes across a wild woman whose wild ways will liberate her mind, body and soul, and turn her life into the adventure she's always craved.

My take on what happens to Gabrielle after Xena's death in FIN., and her attempts to bring her back from the dead. Angst,drama, action,humor, romance later on? this story will have it all. Thanks for reading. Reviews are welcome and encouraged
