I love the 40K universe so rich and hopeless and so vast that you can write a fanfic about some insignificant plot you have been fantasising to unleash on the unexpectant Warhammer community and it can be about anything, I mean it...ANYTHING, even the everyday life of some random worm who lives in a Space Marines Power Armour (Idea!!) Even though it doesn't make any sense. But who cares it is Warhammer, they have a half dead corpse thing ruling a vast empire of a Million worlds, how much sense does that make? Johnny Cochran was right when he said:Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk, but Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now, think about that. That does not make sense! Why would a Wookiee - an eight foot tall Wookiee - want to live on Endor with a bunch of two foot tall Ewoks? That does not make sense! What does that have to do with this case? Nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this case! It does not make sense! None of this makes sense. See??

So as per my point you can try and write about some random chapter called the Pink Fluffy Unicorns Space Marine Chapter who hold frequent tea party and still get away with it as a passable fanfic(nothign more, nothing less) because its soo damn huge it wont make a difference.
