Author has written 1 story for Velvet Goldmine.
My real name? Sebastian. Wondering if I'm an old hag or a precocious six-year-old (with, doubtless, a charming lisp)? I'm 18, so I'm young, attractive and not especially inclined to ever grow up. My message to anyone with the brillant curiousity to look at this profile? I love you, my darling, absolutely and without question, though that's none of your concern.

Now that I have you here, read on, because I want to explain a thing or two. Fan fiction's appeal is in two things combined: a literary adventure (sometimes a disappointing one, by which I mean, some of these stories are ghastly), and addiction. Face it, love; you read or write fan fiction because you're addicted to the fandom, to its characters, to the values and concepts those characters represent for you (such as, say, sex, or beauty...), and finally, to the emotions that charge a story and that you, the reader or writer, drink in eagerly. All these things together make each (typical) fan fiction story into an exhilarating cocktail - an addictive, highly pleasurable one.
Anyone who still likes my words enough after that paragraph to be still reading is probably asking, "Well, since everything we like is more or less addictive, what's so terribly wrong with fan fiction? I read and write it for fun." And the wonderful thing is that the answer is, "It's perfectly all right, because life itself is an addiction - or you'd die. You know very well to be aware of your fiction addiction even as you feed it. Now, be just as aware of life. That's the secret to happiness, in fan fiction or elsewhere."

Stop! Wait! Yes, the title is taken from a song. But in this case, you see, the song genuinely inspired me. A rather surreal piece... The Lady is Heroin, or perhaps just Addiction. The Narrator is Jack Fairy. Curt is Curt. There's another half to the stor
