Why do I write?

Many people have asked me over the years why I choose to write fan fiction rather than pursue publishing works of my own creation. My answer to that is that all the best ideas have already been written. As James Michener said, "I'm not a very good writer, but I'm an excellent rewriter." Writing brings me great joy. It thrills me to read reviews and see how others like or dislike my works, take their thoughts and ideas into consideration, and hopefully create a story they feel connected to.

What should you know about me as a writer?

1.) I take a great deal of pride in staying as true to life for the characters as possible. Though at times I do take creative liberties, I want my readers to feel like my characters *are* the characters.

2.) I try to create real situations for my characters--regardless of fandom--by researching ideas that fit into the storyline (but sometimes a good smutty fic is just what the doctor ordered!).

3.) I try to make quality stories; something that will stick with the reader like their favorite song; something that keeps them coming back.
