![]() Author has written 1 story for Naruto. HELP! SEEKING MASS EFFECT STORY IN WHICH THE QUARIANS AND GETH NEVER WENT TO WAR! It always struck me as foolish the way the Quarians acted when the Geth gained sentience. Why assume that a rebellion was inevitable? Why not simply stop using the Geth as a slave labor force when they became self aware, and let them grow as a sibling race, affording them the same rights as any other Quarian? I want to find a story that explores a galaxy that never fought the Geth and never exiled the Quarians. Would they still have their embassy in the Citadel? Would the Geth get an embassy? How much would that change the games? Would Sovereign and Saren still seek them out? Would they still split into Geth and Heretics? What of the Quarians they now live alongside? Would they interfere with the reaper plots? Would they warn the Council that Saren went rogue? Would they be almost universally indoctrinated? And what of their society? Would the pilgrimage still exist? What would their fully civilian government look like? Did they always need their suits outside their homeworld or could they live and work on the Citadel without them? I feel like this is a good mine of potential that I have not seen anyone tap into yet. If anyone know of a story that does this, or feels like starting said story, please PM me. I'd like to read it. Gender: Male Age: Over 20 Location: None of your concern. To be honest, I'm more of a reader than a writer, but when inspiration strikes I'm more than willing to pick up a pen. The genres of sci-fi, fantasy, and anime/manga interest me the most, and I am a die-hard NaruHina fanatic. As for my pen-name, if you've read the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini, then you might recognize it as a portmanteau of the words "Ramr" (strong) and "Fricai" (friend) from his Ancient Language. I changed the 'c' to a 'k' for aesthetics. Works great as a username because NO ONE has used it before. No need for those annoying numbers. The first anime I ever watched was Dragon Ball Z. This was followed immediately by everything else even remotely Dragon Ball related. All of this was well within a single semester of high school. I have been hooked on anime and manga ever since. If I could have any superpower, I would have the power to control time. Favorite Anime Series (So far):

Saw this and figured why not? Here's my Naruto survey. Some questions are kinda outdated though. 1. Who are your favorite Naruto Characters? Hinata, Naruto, Kiba, Shikamaru, Hinata, Chouji, Himawari, Lee, and did I mention Hinata? 2. What are your favorite pairings? NaruHina, KibaSaku, ShinoFuu, ShikaTema, ChoujIno. As for Sasuke, see chapter 661, last page. 3. Are you a Naruto yaoi or Hentai fan? No. Just no. 4. Have you ever cosplayed Naruto Characters? Not yet. I could probably do a pretty good Tazuna. 5. List your collection of Naruto junk and merchandise, if any: Recently purchased digital copies of the whole manga, but that's all at the moment. 6. Have you ever felt that you were destined to be with a Naruto character? No. They're not real. If they were ... probably Shiho. Kindred spirit and she's not taken by anyone. 7. NaruHina or KibaHina? Kiba's a good guy and all, but NaruHina 4 LIFE!!! 8. SasuSaku or SasuNaru? Again. Chapter 661. Last page. 9. Which team is your favorite, Team 7 or Team Guy? Probably Team Guy. 10. Do you support the Obito theory? (Tobi=Obito) Outdated and obvious: ObitoO-bi-tobi-toto-biTobi. 11. Do you support the 'Yondaime is Naruto's father' theory? From the moment I saw he had blonde hair I knew. 12. Your favorite Akatsuki member? Konan. 13. Are you Pro-Sasuke or Anti-Sasuke? Chapter 661. Last page. 14. Have you seen all Naruto episodes so far (including Shippuden and fillers)? Yup. Bikochu Arc is the best. 15. Have you read all the chapters so far? In short: yes. I started reading after I ran out of episodes. I think it was around the start of the War. I read through the end, then I started reading through the digital copies I bought (see number 5). Not a big fan of the translation though, as they use "doppelganger" instead of the much simpler and more accurate "clone". 16. Do you believe Naruto has ADD? I think he's excitable and a tactile learner. I honestly don't think true ADD or ADHD is nearly as common as people say, but that's a discussion for another day. 17. Sub or dub? Sub. I tried to go back to the dub. I switched back to the subs after about two lines. I will say they nailed Kakashi in the dubs, but that's about all they got right. 18. Pro-Sakura or Anti-Sakura? At this point, Pro-Sakura. Before her training with Tsunade, not so much. 19. Tobi = Annoying or funny? Both. 20. Do you even know who Tobi is? Well I answered questions 10 and 19, didn't I? 21. Guy = Sexy beast or Ugly nerd? I'm pretty sure no one has ever accused Guy of being a nerd. Do I find him to be attractive? Not particularly. 22. Which character would be the best crossdresser? Itachi, much like Colonel Mustang, looks dead sexy in a miniskirt. 23. Rock Lee = Weird or Awesome? Por qué no los dos? 24. Which character would be best OOC? Who and how? Naruto could stand to be a bit smarter. Have you tried going back to the Land of Waves arc? He is insufferably stupid. 25. Do you like Naruto fanfics? Absolutely. Often better than the canon story. 26. Do you write Naruto fanfics? Written one, working on another, but it's slow going. 27. Do you like lemons? If they are done well and placed well. Not many are. 28. Do your parents know about the Naruto characters? Pfft. No. 29. Have you watched the Naruto Abridged Series? Yes. 30. Have you seen The Naruto Ultimate Fanflashes? You mean the Ultimate Naruto Fan Flash series? Only the first couple. Got bored. 31. Have you ever gotten someone else hooked on Naruto? Maybe. I'm not sure I'd call it "hooked" but I got him to watch it. 32. Have you ever been drawing Naruto in school and has someone recognized it? Nope. I draw in private. 33. Have you ever been in class drawing Naruto and the teacher came up to you and said 'WTF is this?' See above. 34. Has Naruto affected your school life and grades? Nope! Tobi is a good boy! 35. Are you broke thanks to Naruto? Nope. 36. Do you want to read Icha Icha Paradise? I want to know if it's all text or if Jiraiya can draw too. Beyond that, not really. I do want to read Tale of the Utterly Gutsy Ninja though. 37. Do you support the 'Yondaime is the Akatsuki Leader' theory? Outdated and irrelevant. Doubt I would have though. The idea makes no sense. 38. Do you draw Naruto fanart? If so, count how many there are in your gallery. I have 4 on DA. 5 if you count the apartment layout. 39. Is Sasuke still sexy in his second stage of the cursed seal? He was never sexy to begin with, and the seal just makes it worse. 40. Do you have a Naruto OC? Yes, Noriko, Naruto's younger sister as described in my Imouto challenge, but she hasn't been fleshed out yet. 41. Looking back at some of your answers, do you think Naruto has taken over your life? A bit, but I knew that beforehand. NARUHINA IS FREAKING CANON!!! AND HIMA-CHAN HAS THE BYAKUGAN!!! To everyone who actually fell for the whole "Karin is Sarada's biological mom" thing in Gaiden. HA! YOU'RE ALL IDIOTS! I laugh profusely at how gullible you are! HahahahaHA! (Excuse me. Had a little hiccup there. Ahem.) What fools! To be taken in by such an obvious ploy, it must be so embarrassing! Hahahahaha! You would really trust Suigetsu of all people to properly run a DNA test? What fools you all are! Hahahahahahaha! If I could change one thing in the canon Naruto story, that one thing would be the team selections. My teams would be as follows: Team 7 - Sensei: Kakashi. Members: Naruto, Sasuke, Hinata. Team 8 - Sensei: Kurenai. Members: Kiba, Shino, Sakura. Team 10 - Sensei: Asuma. Members: Chouji, Shikamaru, Ino. Let's face it. As awesome as Sakura is in Shippuden (when Sasuke is not involved anyway), she was completely and totally useless before the time skip, and Kakashi did not help at all in that regard. Her ridiculous levels of chakra control are perfect for genjutsu, and she needs an example of what a real kunoichi is. That is why she should be under Kurenai on Team 8. Initially, Sakura would detract from Team 8's purpose as a tracking and capture squad, but after seeing what a real kunoichi can do and getting some genjutsu training under her belt, Sakura would be a boon. Team 7 was supposed to be a combat and assault oriented squad. Swapping out Sakura for Hinata only improves this pre-skip. Sakura, though she could punch kind of hard, was sloppy and really only knew how to brawl, however Hinata had years of training in a devastating taijutsu style. Her main setback was her confidence which would only grow from being so close to Naruto all the time. As a Hyuuga, Hinata's chakra control is at least on par with Sakura. She had even displayed an aptitude for the healing arts before Tsunade was even introduced into the show. Hinata would make an incredible combat medic. However, she should NOT get Tsunade's strength as it is not her style. The Yin Seal used to power Tsunade's regenerative jutsus, on the other hand, is a perfect fit. Challenge 1: Hinatatabi - Hinata is the jinchuriki of Matatabi, the two-tailed demon cat. Setup: During the Hyuuga Affair, Yugito (or a disposable OC jinchuriki if you like Yugito and don't want to kill her) is sent along with the Kumo ambassador as a contingency plan. If the kidnapping goes south, then the Nibi Matatabi is released inside the compound to deal as much damage as possible. The plot is foiled, and the Nibi is released, but the ambassador is NOT killed. Konoha will need leverage to keep Matatabi who, having only two tails, is much easier to seal than Kurama was. The seal masters of the Hyuuga band together to lock the Nibi away in the nearest appropriate vessel, Hinata. Rules:
Please contact me via PM if you are interested in taking on my Hinatatabi Challenge. Rules 1 and 2 are non-negotiable, but if you wish to haggle on the other four we can discuss it over PM. Current Challengers: None Challenge 2: Imouto - Naruto is born 5 years early. How will he handle losing his parents and taking care of his new baby sister? Setup: Naruto is born 5 years early as Naruto Namikaze. This makes him the same age as Itachi, Hana Inuzuka, and Ayame. Assuming Minato and Kushina were around 25 when Naruto was born in canon, this means they have a little oopsie at 20. Minato has been leading his squad for 4 years, and still has 4 years to go before the mission that "kills" Obito and ends the Third Shinobi World War, so obviously there is no attack on Kushina meaning she remains a Jinchuriki, and Naruto does not become one. I would have the war last a total of 3 years, so it begins when Naruto is 1 year old and ends when he is 4. Minato and Kushina celebrate the war's end and his promotion to Hokage, and Naruto's little sister Noriko is born the next year, the Year of the Nine Tails both in canon and here. I did a little date math using a timeline on the Naruto Wiki to set this up as close to canon as possible. Obito, under the guise of Madara, attacks just after Noriko is born. The night plays out pretty much exactly like canon. However, since Noriko is Kushina's second child, the process did not leave her as drained. She is able to restrain Kurama long enough for Minato to construct a more complex version of the canon Eight Trigrams Seal that is strong enough to hold ALL of Kurama, not just half. They both still die as a result of Kurama's last ditch effort to stop the sealing, just like canon, and Minato incorporates his and Kushina's chakra into the seal, just like canon. Naruto is left to take care of Noriko, knows that she is the new Jinchuriki, and loves her all the more for it. He convinces the Third to allow Noriko to grow up knowing of her burden, though the canon law about the Kyuubi is still in place for the general public. There is no law regarding their heritage since everyone already knows who Naruto is, though Naruto may go by Uzumaki during missions on occasion if he believes revealing his heritage would cause problems. Other Important Details: This story is mostly Naruto-centric until Noriko enters the academy, at which point it becomes about half Naruto and half Noriko. Noriko is essentially Kushina reincarnated. She has red hair, blue eyes, and a fiery personality. Noriko has three whisker marks on each cheek. The marks are the result of essentially sharing a room with Kurama for the first nine months of life, not from becoming a Jinchuriki (Seriously, Naruto has the marks from birth, before Kurama was sealed into him in canon). She is named after the seaweed wrap used to make sushi, but nori can also be a ramen ingredient*. Noriko faces similar struggles to canon Naruto, though she will have her big brother to help her through. Her two strongest chakra natures are wind and fire. Noriko harbors no doubts that Naruto will be Hokage, and so she strives to become her brother's Jounin Commander when he does. Suggestions for Noriko's abilities: Don't give her the Rasengan. That's Naruto's thing. She inherits her signature justu, the Kongou Fuusa (Adamantine Sealing Chains), from Kushina (Bonus points if you use this one. I like it a lot.) She picks up sealing. She becomes the first female Toad Summoner and eventually becomes a Sage. Any and all of her training under Jiraiya will be VERY closely monitored by Naruto, including the training trip if it still happens. If she goes on the training trip she mostly learns seals and some of Jiraiya's fire techniques while Naruto refines his own skills. While looking up some Japanese names, I discovered that Noriko is actually a real name, not just something I made up. It means law-abiding child or exemplary child. I would make some irony jokes off of this. Naruto, without the interference of Kurama and the seal, is the genius he always should have been. He is still energetic, but he is more serious than canon due to the experiences of losing his parents and caring for his sister. His heritage still gives him much larger than average chakra capacity (enough for about 50 shadow clones without tiring), but he will have far greater control. Naruto still has the whisker marks. He still strives to become Hokage, but his initial reason is to honor Minato and protect Noriko (as opposed to gaining respect), before it becomes the proper "to protect all my precious people." I would like to see his Genin teammates be Itachi and Hana. Rules:
Please contact me via PM if you are interested in taking on my Imouto Challenge. If you wish to haggle on some of the details we can discuss it over PM. Current Challengers: None Rant Section Flashbacks: You are all using flashbacks wrong. Seriously, probably 8 or 9 times out of 10 whenever I see a flashback it does nothing but detract from the story and disrupt the natural flow. It irks me the most when someone does a time skip, then immediately goes into a series of flashbacks that explain everything we just skipped. When you do that you completely defeat the entire point of the time skip. The purpose of a time skip is to jump over a section of time where nothing particularly relevant happens. By immediately using flashbacks to describe events that decidedly are NOT irrelevant, you make it seem like you have put very little thought into your story and are simply making stuff up as you go. Along these lines, you should NEVER under ANY circumstance introduce a new character by a flashback in this way. These kinds of flashbacks should be eliminated entirely. If something important happens during a block of time, unless it fall under category 3 below, tell us about it as it is happening. ESPECIALLY when these events involve potential danger. Having a character reflect back on a dangerous situation after the fact, instead of following said character through it as it happens, completely destroys any feeling of suspense. There are three and ONLY three situations where flashbacks are either useful or necessary:
That is it. Flashbacks that do not fall under these three categories should not be used. Ever. |
