All Sherlock Holmes fans know the fate of Mary Watson (nee Morstan), so I don't feel this story is spoilerific, as they might not go down this route in the show. Anyway, I've borrowed from ACD and House MD and although it's not strictly romance, it's major bromance, with some angsty speedbumps along the way. Reviews welcome.

Father's day is day's away and Dr. McCoy is in a bad mood. Kirk hacks into his friends file and discovers the reason for McCoy's ill temper. A plan to cheer McCoy up has some unintended consequences and in the process he finds himself a little closer to home...

Sherlock lights a fire inside of John, but it is extinguished when the doctor realizes that the feelings aren't mutual. John sinks lower into himself, and realizes that there are things from his past that haunt him with his forbidden love, and keep him too afraid to ever touch another man. A year and a half after Reichenbach, Sherlock has returned to John. But John is not in a good state, having suffered already one mental breakdown where he hallucinated that Sherlock had returned. He is wary this time, thinking the hallucinations have returned. But will this case be too much for Sherlock to crack?

In between Sherlock's death and return, John struggled. With the help of friends both old and new, John learns how to at least cope with the loss of his best friend. A-Z one-shots of hurt/comfort stories between Sherlock and John. Perhaps Sherlock doesn't realise just how much he needs John. Or vice versa, for that matter. They are always there for each other, though of course, their friendship isn't without its obstacles and difficulties.
