![]() My background in writing and editing has been user/technician instruction manuals, technical publications, business process manuals (quality manuals), and manufacturing assembly and quality inspection work instructions dates back to the early 1990s. This is combined with information technology and software user interface design/human factors (sometimes called "MMI") experience dating back to the early 1980s. In some circles I am a ghostwriter and ghosteditor concentrating mostly in research, instructional design, publication structuring and layout, illustrations, cleaning up rough drafts, proofreading and editing. Currently, I am responsible for regulatory affairs, a member of the corporate publications editing staff and level 3 technical support at a medium sized factory not far from my home. What brought me to fanfiction was a Google search in connection with the now off-the-air series Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles, often known simply as TSCC. I read an incredible story here on fanfiction (that continues to unfold) about what became of my TSSC friends...and became hooked. In addition to writing and editing, my hobbies include karaoke, computers and technology (a side business as well), basic fitness, firearms collecting and target shooting (pistol and rifle). My favorite sport to watch and coach is basketball. Baseball is a close second for both watching and coaching. Anybody out there remember Don Sutton, Davey Lopes or Steve Garvey? I like trying new and different foods/restaurants, the more exotic the better (the most exotic being the Ethiopian restaurant I went to out in Washington, DC, sitting on the floor, eating out of a common bowl and everything...yes, that one takes the cake). Among my favorite foods are Indian, Japanese and Thai. I also enjoy wine tasting. Yes, Californias are my favorite, especially Zinfandels. No, not White Zinfandels...Zinfandels. ;-) |
