![]() Author has written 71 stories for Supernatural, and Firefly. When I first fell onto the fanfiction bandwagon, it was all about Duran Duran. The title was Last Chance on the Stairway, and, yes, that dates me. But I managed to come up with allusions featuring pepperoni that proved I was not — as my grandmother believed — destined for the convent. This fortunate realization made, I moved on to college and left the collective body of work known as "The Duran Duran Stories" behind me. And it was good. Until Erik Kripke came up with Supernatural, and I found myself falling onto that bandwagon again. Sadly, the lure of the Winchesters has proven too strong to deny. Several AUs and one shots later, all I can say is: Damn you, Eric Kripke. I should note that I write with OCs. The structure of the show lends itself to their introduction. Sadly, however, I seem to be cursed by one-shot ideas that turn into a series. I write more het than anything else in the fandom; however, I also write gen and have recently been challenged to write something slashy. Even my gen pieces usually have OCs, though. Just a fair warning. Please also note that this is not a full collection of my work due to site restrictions in regards to adult content and real person fiction; all of my stories are archived at my writing journal, The Lilac Wind. Update June 2010: I am still in the midst of my cancer treatment - it's been over a year since my diagnosis and we're still looking for the right chemotherapy protocol to kick what's left of my cancer to the curb. My writing has, sad to say, been impacted by this. Again I would like to stress that I plan on finishing all of my WIPs - I'm actually in the midst of a writing challenge which is forcing me to write every. Your Sorrow for Another Coin will be completed this summer and all of the remaining chapters will be posted on November 1 of this year. So I'm still writing sporadically when I can - mostly smaller stories because that's what my brain can handle right now and I'm hoping to get back to the pace I set myself to a long time ago. So, yep, if you wondered whether I was ever going to finish anything else down there marked as a "WIP" - the answer is a resounding "Yes." In going back and re-reading some of the stories, I've discovered that formatting on them is gone - there used to be separators between the sections which are now toast. I suspect this is the result of a coding change on the site. Unfortunately, this makes the stories unreadable to me and, sadly, I don't have the energy to go back and quickly add new section markers to all of my stories - so if what you're reading is a jumbled mess, head on over to my writing journal instead. There aren't any formatting problems there. I'll be working on getting the stories here reformatted...but it'll probably take awhile. Update September 2011: (by elanurel's husband) I'm sorry I didn't get this information here earlier, but I'm still going through her online accounts and things. Elanurel passed away on March 16th, 2011, due to her cancer. I don't have any plans on removing her account or her journal The Lilac Wind so feel free to go an continue to enjoy the writing that she did. I know she loved writing and the various communities she was a part of because of that. Thank you all for supporting her during her treatment. - John Strange Angels Centuries have passed since the sealing of the Grigori, and the children of the Nephilim walk the earth. Sam and Dean stumble across the Circle of Enoch, finding themselves in the midst of a prophecy that Sam is destined to fulfill; a prophecy where Sam is "the Destroyer" and his Ascension is the precursor to Armageddon. There's no way in hell the Winchesters are going to let that happen. Fortunately for them, the Winchesters have some help between the contacts John has made and members of the Circle who still believe in its true purpose — that the Blessed Children are meant to protect the world from the Grigori. But how do you stop Armageddon with nothing but a book bag full of notes and a glowing sword? Since that day, a bereaved John Winchester has traveled throughout Europe, tracking the foul creature that perpetrated such a cruel trick upon his family; raising his sons to follow in his footsteps.
