Mika assumed she was destined for a quiet, normal life in Bucharest. She had her friends, her job, and occasional hobbies. But when her new neighbor with a metal arm saves her from a would-be assailant, she starts down a path that she didn't quite anticipate...and she doesn't do well with things she can't anticipate.

"You never learn when to quit, Spider-Twerp." She told him. "Spider-Twerp?" Spider-Man questioned in disbelief as he glared. Emma smirked. "Well, you annoyingly seem to get in my way all the time. That and you don't look or sound like a man to me." She explained. "I am a man." He told her angrily. "Somehow I doubt that." The first time Emma and Peter met didn't exactly go well.

"Game over," the voice whispered in her ear. The first time Rey goes laser tagging with her friends, she nearly beats the highest score until a mysterious dark figure stops her.

"I'll destroy her," rings in his ears and he's shocked by how shamed he is he ever said those words. He'd meant them, oh how he'd meant them. He'd been lost to his rage and he'd thought he could … he knows now that he could never hurt her. Kylo struggles with Rey's rejection and a new threat pushes them together again.

Slowly, he made a move towards her. Her hands were up in an instant, her focus purely on him. It stirred something inside him, something equally dark and exhilarating. "Do that again," he commanded her. His words were unexpected. She shifted, unsure about his intentions. "W-what?" He repeated his words slowly, so there was no way for her to misunderstand. "Do. That. Again."

Kylo Ren stops Rey from her escape after the interrogation and realizes he is the only one who can keep her imprisoned. Soon enough both are conflicted by the unexpected feelings they have for each other and the fact that neither of them will change who they are, forcing them to stand on different sides of the war.
