It has lived since the beginning. Since before the Dust settled on the world, bringing forth man. But as the years pass, man becomes stronger and wiser, he becomes able to fend off its monsters. And now the creator comes to a realization. It needs an heir.

It was a desperate attempt, to preserve what was perhaps the only offworld life in the infinite void of space that Humanity would ever encounter. The problem was that last ditch efforts had a tendency to fail - and fail, the transfer process did. A Fall Maiden with the incomprehensible mind of an alien entity was not the intended result, but... what's the worst that could happen?

Ruby Rose had one job, release the souls of humans from their mortal coil by saying their name aloud. But when her first day goes completely awry and her target challenges her information on humanity, she decides to stay with him, perhaps forever. And matters only get worse when her equally supernatural family find out that their precious Rose has had her heart stolen by a human.
