Author has written 1 story for Hunger Games. hello. i'm fairly new to this site, so please forgive me if things start out a little slow. i'm a nineteen-year-old female from the united states. that's really all you'll get to know about me here, i don't see this as a social networking site. i'm here to share my creativity, but primarily it is for my own entertainment. i'm a writer who prefers to think on her feet. i've tried and failed in the past to outline stories before they were written...really, all this leads to is a lot of frustration and an unfinished story. obviously i'll have to better this skill if i ever plan to publish a book, but for now forgive me if certain facts don't line up. i usually do alright, though, considering any good story has to be thoroughly explained at some point. just forgive me if whatever i'm writing based on doesn't flow cleanly into my writing. i've just finished suzanne collins Hunger Games trilogy, and have a spin off in progress. i plan to write in the gaping space collins left between the final chapter of Mockingjay and the epilogue, if not overlapping in the final chapter a little as well (obviously, while a fan of the books, i have strong feelings about collins' writing style. forgive me if any comments made from here on offend you). lastly, please don't take me for cold-hearted. i'm really just to-the-point when it comes to my writing, and really see no room for nonsense. of course i always welcome critiques, and could possibly consider an editor sometime in the future (if i ever work up enough trust to make my email available). i honestly do hope you enjoy my writing. while it is primarily for my entertainment, i'm posting it publicly for a reason. thanks, -ws 5/16/11 i've finally finished the first chapter. i realized as soon as i uploaded it that i'd changed tenses multiple times through the first chapter, but an overwhelming feeling of laziness kept me from going back and changing it (see, i'm not a total hardass). so instead of changing it there, i plan on just making sure that it never happens again. so please try to avoid mentioning it in your critiques. thanks. |
