Epoh Academy of Bishonen and Bishoujo

Epoh Academy of Bishonen and Bishoujo is my own creation. It’s where newbie trainers can go to receive their first bishonen/bishoujo and get some first-hand experience in training and fighting; not just their bishonen/bishoujo, but themselves, too.

Trainers attending the academy learn pretty much all there is to know about the bishonen and bishoujo world, and upon graduation, they have the option to continue their schooling and become some kind of official in the bishonen world (a doctor, professor, etc.). Otherwise, they truly start their journeys into the world of bishonen.

Name:

- Please include a first and last name for your original character.

Gender:

- Male or female?

Age:

- How old is your original trainer?

Physical Appearance:

- Describe them thoroughly. Fat or skinny, tall or short, strong or weak? Do they have any birthmarks or scars? Are they missing any limbs? Is their hair thick or thin, long or short, tangled or silky? Do they have a few (or a lot) of zits? What color is their hair and eyes? What is their race/nationality? You don’t have to answer these questions; they’re just suggestions for you to put into your descriptions.

Clothing/Accessories:

- The academy has a uniform for the classroom and a uniform for physical activities; only on the weekends are students allowed to dress individually. Include at least two outfits, whether or not they wear makeup, if they have any body piercings, tattoos, etc. Are they always seen carrying around a bag of some sort? Do they wear any jewelry?

Personality:

- Are they sarcastic or optimistic? Are they solemn or humorous? Do they talk a lot, or do they talk at all? Are they cold or friendly? What kinds of things make them smile and be happy? What makes them mad or sad or any other emotion you can think of? Are they timid and shy, or can they be really outgoing? Are they very opinionated, or do they just go along with what the majority says? Do they often say things without thinking how it might affect other people?

Academic Record:

- How do they handle school work? Are they slackers to the extreme, where they just don’t do the work? Are they procrastinators? Are they bookworms, who have the whole year’s various homework assignments done within the first week or so? Do they stock up on extra credit? Do they ever bother studying for tests or not? Are they rule-breakers? Do they act respectful toward teachers? Please include if they are “physically fit”; meaning, do they do what they are asked to do in gym class, or do they goof around and socialize while they’re supposed to be, say, running laps?

Year:

- There is a total of five years one must take in order to completely graduate from the academy. What year is your original character in, regardless of age?

Personal History:

- What was their life like before they came to the bishonen world, before they signed up at the academy? Were they happy or sad? What kind of home did they come from? Are there things in their past they just can’t let go of, good memories or bad?

Romance:

- This is simply asking if I can pair your original character up with someone else. I’ll e-mail you for permission if I want your character to hook up with another character or bishonen/bishoujo. I won’t do anything serious without consulting you first. If you want your original character to develop a romantic relationship with his or her bishonen or bishoujo, include that here.

Bishonen/Bishoujo Form

Name:

- Give me their full name/title, whatever it may be. The academy only allows each student one bishonen/bishoujo, so make it a good one.

From:

- What anime/manga/book/game/etc. are they from?

Gender:

- Male or female?

Stage:

- San or sama? If you said your original character was anywhere from a first to a third year student, I recommend putting down “san” here. If your original character was a fourth year student or higher, I recommend saying “sama”. If you have no idea what these terms mean, go read the first few chapters of Songwind’s “Bishonen and Bishoujo!”

Physical Appearance:

- Be descriptive here, just like when you were describing your own character. Remember, the bishonen isn’t always the same as the actual character you see on television or whatever. For example, Bishonen Kenshin (from Rurouni Kenshin, by Nobuhiro Watsuki) might not have the cross-shaped scar on his left cheek like the real Kenshin does. If you can, include some sort of link to a picture of them.

Clothing/Accessories:

- Include everything on your bishonen/bishoujo’s body that wasn’t naturally there. Again, Bishonen Kenshin might not wear the same horrible pink-purple kimono Real Kenshin does. He might not even carry the same weapon.

Personality:

- Be very descriptive here. I want the bishonen/bishoujo to be as in-character as possible. For now, the bishoujo/bishonen will act just like their real counterparts do, but keep in mind that after some amount of time, they begin to act somewhat like their trainer. If your original character is a first year, the bishonen probably acts just like their real self. If your original character is a fifth year, I’d think they’d still act very much like their real self, but maybe they’ve picked up one or two quirks from their trainer.

Relationship:

- No, this has nothing to do with the bishonen/bishoujo’s love life. This is asking how does your own character and their bishonen/bishoujo get along with each other. Are they friends or enemies? Do they argue all the time and mean nothing by it, or do they pretty much just work with each other because they feel like they have to? Are they constantly at each other’s throats, or can they sit down and have a civilized conversation?

Personal History:

- They had to have come from somewhere. Tell me about their life before they agreed to become “partners” with one of the students at the academy.

Romance:

- Can I pair your character’s bishonen/bishoujo up with another original character or bishonen/bishoujo? Again, I won’t do anything serious without your permission. If you want this bishonen/bishoujo to develop a romantic relationship with his or her trainer, please include that here.

I’m not guaranteeing that your character will play a major role in this story, if they will play one at all. They may just be one of those background characters who is simply there to fill up a desk in the classroom. I won’t be picking which characters do get a large part in this story on a first-come-first-serve basis; I will be picking the ones that have detailed biographies of both them and their chosen bishonen/bishoujo.
