excerpt: She stood there, enraged, her black cloak billowing around her like the clouds that boiled above. Her eyes blazed a vibrant green, her anger behind them, clawing desperately to get free. Her fiery-red hair blew around her face in the intense wind, the drops beating against her clothes heavily. But even the rain did not quench her fierce thirst for revenge. She reached into her cloak and pulled out a long sword from the sheath that hung from her belt. It glinted in lightning that flashed around her. She twirled her weapon and then plunged it deep into her opponent’s chest. Flashing a vicious smile, she extracted the saber, leaving her opponent to fall, bleeding, to the ground. Not bothering to wipe the crimson liquid off her blade, she slid it back into its sheath. She readjusted her hood to where it once more shadowed her face. Then she turned and began to walk down the long, lonely path along the sea, back to her kingdom of destruction. |
