This is an idea for a story I've had for...a long ass time. I am not a writer, I can't make a story flow. As such, this is up for adoption. My only request is that you PM or Email me when you start it, as I want to read it. If I like it, we could bounce ideas off each other or something, heh.

Radiant Bonds (Working Title)

Crossover- Naruto and Fire Emblem 9 & 10

Long Summary: Nearly 1000 years after the defeat of Ashera, The Priestess of Dawn, near the end of her long life, foresaw the destruction of the world at the hands of her newly born descendent. In defense of their hard won peace, he was sealed away, into a pocket dimension. Reyson volunteered to be sealed into the child, to be his mentor. When the Kyuubi was sealed, that dimension was torn asunder, and in a blinding flash a Laguz baby with the blood of Hawks, Ravens, Herons, Cats, Tigers, Lions, Wolves, and Dragons descended to Konoha.

Plot (my take on the progression of the story. Feel free to ignore or change it.):

Note: You can make Naruto the baby instead of Shiro. You just have to deal with Kyuubi. Like the 4th summons the Shinigami, that rips the dimension open, then the Shinigami seals it into Naruto instead of whoever else. Then Reyson and Kyuubi duke it out, and Reyson uses the Galdr of Rebirth to suppress him or something.

The general plot of this story would follow Shiro, named after the white light he appeared in, as he grew up in the orphanage. Due to the time of his appearance, the village tends to try to ignore him as they do Naruto. When he is four, Shiro is adopted by a Chuunin, a single father. During the Uchiha Massacre, Shiro is taking a walk with his dad and Itachi kills his dad when he goes to see what the commotion is. Upon witnessing his father's death, Shiro awakens his dormant Laguz traits, running into the forest, where he collapses and meets Reyson. He can fully transform into a cat and a raven at this point.

He then goes through the academy, making friends with Sasuke over their mutual loss, and Naruto for similar reasons. Bonds form, and team placement is canon. Shiro gets paired with fangirl and incompetence, with Anko as they're sensei, and they're failing the test when Shiro, pinned down by Anko's snakes, transforms into a Hawk and rushes her. When he gets close, Shiro Halfshifts to a cat (basically just human with claws and fangs, reflexes etc. Halfshited bird has wings on the back and increased sight/hearing, dragon gets armored scales, a tail, and breathes fire.), inadvertently impaling himself on Anko's kunai. With a punctured lung, Anko rushes him to te hospital, then takes Shiro on as an apprentice.

And it goes on like that, largely following the main storyline. Shiro slowly gains more forms, the most powerful of which are Black Dragon, Lion, and Heron, because Galdrar plus Chakra has fun effects and stuff. Lion is probably as powerful as a White Dragon, so Black Dragon has the most brute strength, but Lion has some mobility. As Shiro himself grows stronger, so do his forms.

My initial ending was for Shiro and Sasuke to fight at the Valley of the End. The final clash would be Curse Seal level 2 vs Heron Halfshift, which is very unstable for Shiro. Shiro uses his magical powers to purge the Curse Seal from Sasuke, but at the cost of his own life. As such, there were no plans for post time skip.

I believe as long as one person liked the fic you wrote, then you haven't wasted your time.

FrozenSin's MAJOR gripes on Naruto Fanfiction (and Fanfiction in general):

1. I don't care if your spell check doesn't work. I don't care if it DOES work. Proofread your story. Make an effort to use correct grammar. Distinguish between 'your' and 'you're'. Make sure the punctuation is correct, and in the correct places. And for the love of Jashin, use paragraphs.Text walls are the devil.

2. If a character is OOC, make sure you remain consistent in that character change. Too many times, I've seen people make the Third Hokage into the bad guy; a real pragmatic guy who just pretends to like Naruto or outright hates him. If this is the case, Orochimaru cannot be alive. Hiruzen spared him due to his kind heart. In the absence of that kindness, The Third and Orochimaru would have fought to the death, unless otherwise specified.

3. Naruto was never beaten in canon. This is a popular notion in Fanfiction, because we're all sadists at heart, but the worst Naruto got was neglect and distaste. He was never physically harmed. This kind of ties in to Jiraiya bashing. Jiraiya manages a vast information network. He very likely has access to very minute details for every village. I would also imagine Jiraiya would report to the village himself from time to time. Assuming he gave a shit about his prized pupil's son, he would at least check and see if he was missing a limb or two before leaving. If not, bash away, but flesh out why he's so horrible. Which leads me to my next point.

4. Don't coddle your readers. Don't outright tell me what the characters are feeling all the time. Instead of saying:

'Naruto was angry when Sakura said that.', say:

'Her words caused Naruto's lips to purse into a thin line. His knuckles turned white, and his eyes narrowed.'

It's just a better writing technique, using imagery to make the reader envision and assume what Naruto feels. It's a little insulting when you don't because it looks like you think we, the readers, aren't capable of independent thought.

If you hate stereotypes and think people should just shut up and stop POST THIS. Pick the stereotype that fits you.
