Post-Avengers. Odin, in his infinite wisdom, has decided to go for the poetic justice angle as far as Loki's punishment is concerned. For his attempt to enslave humanity, Loki has his magic and powers bound, and is sent back to Midgard and given over to Tony Stark to be his slave. Tony is none too happy about this arrangement. A pile of questionable shenanigans in absolutely no cohesive order pertaining to the daily lives of Sarif Industries employees (probably mostly assumed to be post-Panchaea but are missing any decisive timestamps).

Banished by Odin and hunted by the Chitauri, Loki is a political refugee and the Avengers are forced to offer asylum. Through science experiments, swing dancing, panic attacks, shopping sprees, and Asgardian politics, the enemy begins to look like an ally. Eventual Avenger!Loki. Plus, Blackhawk and plenty of Tony.

None of this was supposed to happen. SHIELD wasn't supposed to find Thor and Loki on Earth three years after the battle. Loki wasn't supposed to be a silent shadow of who he once was. And the Avengers...weren't ever meant to have to endure the madness that would follow. "Cry, Loki. Cry."

To no one's pleasure, Loki ends up stranded in SHIELD custody after the events of The Avengers. Wary of Loki's dangerous abilities, Nick Fury calls in the favor of an old friend to help him keep this new threat under control - but can even the formidable Professor X save Loki from himself? Angst, hurt/comfort, redemption; no pairing.

Post-Avengers. Thor takes Loki back to Asgard in chains, but this does not mean that the god of mischief's schemes are ended, or that Thor has or ever will give up on his brother. But when Thanos comes to the realm to claim his lost prizes, on which side will Loki fall?
