(Note: This story is set after Star Trek Into Darkness.) After serving together for two years aboard the Enterprise, Chekov's feelings for Kirk become unavoidable, and the Captain finds it difficult to keep a promise he has made to himself. The beginning of the first Five-Year mission leaves the crew not only discovering strange, new worlds, but also a very different side of Kirk.
