It has been 5 years since the Blight. Alistair has put his life back together after spending the first few years following the Blight as a raging drunk. A year after he has cleaned himself up and joined the Denerim city guard, he runs into someone he thought he would never lay eyes on again.

When the Queen of Ferelden goes to check in with an old friend, she finds more than she bargained for.
