Its been so long since I last updated my profile, but I've now changed my username (from Darka Silvath) to reflect my Xbox gamertag. With some free time and finding new friend who also shares in my delight of reading fiction and fanfiction alike I can update my information and hopefully start catching up with writing my fics again, from the planned but unfinished stages they were in.

07/Apr/2015:

I find the time has come to update my favourites listings, while many were favourites for several years I find that my tastes have changed and some that I would re-read meticulously I know no longer ascribe to continue to return to. The brilliance has not left these fics, nor the work the authors in question deteriorated in some way so I feel it is necessary to still leave a list of them behind. “A Soldier Out Of This World” by “MadHat886” was one, of if not the first fanfiction I read on this site and definitely the first Self Insert or similar concept fic I ever read, and while I still enjoy reading it, it is no longer a personal favourite. Moving on to a couple of months later “Gotta Terminate 'Em All” by “Battle Fries” was a nice simple comedy, but again I’ve been spoilt by and increasing genre to choose from and with so many take-offs and similar concepts taken from what writers have written before leaves me not quite as satisfied with it as a ‘Fav’.

01/Apr/2015:

Now with Resident Evil Revelations 2 out I’m finally ready to resume writing A Harry Potter, Gargoyles, Resident Evil, Aquila, Roswell Conspiracies, Aliens Myths and Legends crossover. I’ve had the notes and chapters all written up since 2009 but wanted to wait incase the series released any changes or prequels that would make my fic seem odd when tying into cannon. I wanted the universe I create to be as wide and brand as possible. Pity I’m such a perfectionist that all my fics come out less than even half-perfect. :(

20/Feb/2014:

Hard to believe its been over a year since I last updated anything, I’ve still got everything nearly ready for another chapter release but I’m still not 100% happy with the flow. Still I must admit I’ve been reading more than writing and re-reading fics on my favourites list – which brings me to my next whine in question: Favourite Fic Lists, Now I only add a fic to the list if I’ve read it over 10 times and still gain enjoyment from it so when I see someone’s profile with over a 1000 fics I wince a little and wonder if they truly to find them a favourite and tirelessly re-read them or if their just being cruel to the site administrators and adding extra data to the storage space. Meh – either way not my problem, I just like to moan.

28/Oct/2012:

I have removed one of my favourite Authors since they have in turn chosen to leave F.F Net with their stories, I take solace in the fact I have archived all their fics offline so I can browse them at my leisure as I do with all the fics listed under my favourites. Still the Author was called “Wispr” and wrote lovely romantic fanfiction, I will miss the near yearly updates I always checked for. Let us all spend a moment in silence for the loss of a good author and the loss of their common sense from removing their work so no future explorers of this site can view it at all.

I’ve finally uploaded the Ashfield Legacy fic I've been writting since 2009, I obviously don't own Resident Evil so to all those that may complain that over the lack of a disclaimer after the first chapter, if I'm posting something on a fanfiction site I obviously don't have rights to the ideas created in it.

I’ve really got to try noticing when time passes; it’s been nearly a whole year since I submitted a fic. I have got to stop being such a perfectionist, I’ve written nearly all of the next chapter for Melted by a Child. Expect an increase in updates in the coming months. In the case of Miranda Priestly and the Dyclonius I’ve given up and just re-written an additional line and uploaded it, I can see why Dracker gave it up its just too difficult to create a non plot item and develop a relationship without horrible things happening to the participants.

If I post a one-shot under 1000 words then I claim here that I do not own the category the fanfiction comes from unless specified, as I feel it is cheating to include a disclaimer in the word count, so unless there is a A/N note there isn’t much point and I’m not doing it.

Apparently all my old fics have been deleted, but since I can upload new ones I’m not too bothered though two of my fics made it into communities so a little upset there. But Hey what can you do? Except Hack the FFNet server, force it to crash the search engine for 3 hours and then go back to reading?

18/Feb/2011:

Greetings, I am back and trying to submit fics again. I’ve been trying since 2009 but gave up after the final failure to have it accept a simple submission document but I hear from Bypasser82 that its possible again and am going to make an attempt. If it fails know this – I will keep trying to change the horrible excuses for fics with the new versions I’ve written so they seem to actually have content.
