As a child my brother couldn't call me Marie so called me Rie and the nick name stuck!

Originally born on the Isle of Wight, a while ago now I guess (1979 - yikes!!) I lived in Gosport (South England) for a few years and then Helston in Cornwall.

I now live in County Down, Northern Ireland.

Reading for me, as a child opened up whole exciting new worlds, and its fair to say that my mother caught me trying to bring all my books to bed on more than one occasion - hey I might have missed something! - but my compulsion to read has never left me.

In fact I've bought 4 books already this week. I love the Kelley Armstrong fantasy series and am re-reading all of the Otherworld novels, paperbacks I'm afraid, as well as reading the new Kathy Reich's :)

I love a bit of crime fiction too, but the ones where you have to think a bit more, not the shock and gore type!

My other obsession is with RPG's - especially Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and Skyrim amongst others and am determined not to get a new games console as to do so would mean saying goodbye to the games I now have and love, yes I am old school!

I do favour RPG's more than other games but I do enjoy call of duty etc at times, but I prefer to have a story line that I can immerse my imagination in!

I didn't discover Fan Fiction until recently but am an avid fan now - no pun intended :)

I just love the fact that people can put more feelings into storylines and delve much much deeper into the characters we love so well, and I am glad that I finally decided to try my hand at a few stumbling efforts of my own.

There are a few favourites I have and constantly re-read them.
