Hey, I'm JJL and welcome to my profile. I agree it's a bit bland at the moment isn't it? Let's spice that up with some well informed text that you might actually want to read.

Let me first introduce myself and say some basics about me:

Name: JJL (If you ask nicely I'll tell you what it stands for)

Age: 23

Gender: Male

Okay so maybe that by just looking at my screen name you could have worked out two of the above three. It wasn't really that difficult was it? So let me tell you some more about myself.

I've been writing since I was about fourteen. I used it originally as a form of escape because I didn't particularly like going outside. Strangely enough I was never a huge fan of reading until I was about twenty and I was being forced to read four novels a week for the courses I was studying. I've read a lot, ranging from proper classics like Dante's Inferno all the way through to the Percy Jackson series. My genre of choice in my own fictional work is usually a fantasy or a sci-fi but I find, when writing fanfiction, that I'm often not too taken with these storylines. I like to do spin-off type stories when I write fanfiction so you take the existing characters and their current situations and you expand everything from there; their backstories remain the same though so you only go forward, you can't rewrite something that has already been shown or said. That's just my personal preference anyway. It's also not even a golden rule, it's more of just what comes to be when I sit down to write. Sometimes I have been known to write more fantastical storylines and sometimes I've been known to re-write characters backstories because I didn't like the original. That's the good thing about writing, you're open to do whatever you want.

So along with writing fiction, I also run three online blogs which you may or may not be interested in reading. I'll provide links to them below each description or you can send me a message and I'll link you directly if you want.

The first one is called Cracked Reality. This is basically a website where I review movies, games, music, Youtube videos and other such things.

The second one is called The Bag of Cynicism. Okay so this one is more of a personal rant website where I just generally choose a topic and rant on it for a couple of paragraphs.

The third one that I set up is Homespun Country Corner. This is one that is devoted to anything Country Music, because that is my preferred genre of music. I set it up basically because no one I knew liked country music so this gave me a place to chat about it and to put across my views of things.

There's a lot more to me than just the above, I thought that would just be a nice little taster and some samples of my non fiction writing.
