So, uh, hey all. I guess that, for whatever reason that you've landed on my profile, it wouldn't hurt to know more about me, right? So...

Name: Autumn
Age: That's neither here nor there.
Appearance: Red-brown hair, green/hazel/brown/non-descript eyes, tall
Hogwarts House: Hatstall between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, but I think that I have more Ravenclaw tendencies. Though I probably love Hufflepuff more, but I also want to show the world that Ravenclaw is not just about 'books and cleverness'. (See rant below)
Likes: Harry Potter series (funnily enough xD); Throne of Glass series; books and reading in general; my two cats, Rainy and Dusky; drawing (yes, I drew my avatar); my friends; playing cricket or other sports.
Dislikes: Character bashing (my pet hate; see below); abuse/neglect etc.; war; arrogant and selfish people; bad grammar, spelling and punctuation; and my constantly crashing computer. xD
Favourite creature in Harry Potter: Well, since the BuzzFeed test said that I was a phoenix, I've become rather attached, but AllTheTests said a hippogriff, which suits me rather well, I think. On GoToQuiz, I couldn't choose between two of the options; with one, I became a hippogriff; with the other, a phoenix. I guess I'm just a hybrid... I love both, though.
Languages I speak: English, German (I can understand better than I can speak), a bit of French and Sarcasm. I'm very fluent in the latter, but I am trying to tone it down a bit. I know many people don't like it, and I can be overly sarcastic.

Yes, I do write. No, I'm not posting anything yet.
Yes, I will post mainly Harry Potter fics on here. No, I haven't decided on anything yet. Although, I might do something Throne of Glass related...

Character Bashing
I will say here and now that I detest character bashing of all kinds. It is a childish way to rant about your least favourite characters, possibly ruining an otherwise excellent story. I'm certainly not against having a rant, but if you want to rant, do it on a blog or some such website and leave it out of the story. Character bashing is quite unnecessary, makes characters very OOC (Out Of Character), points out all of the character's flaws (yes, believe it or not, we are all human, therefore all have flaws) and completely ignores their good points, simply because the writer cannot get past their dislike of the character and appear to obsessed with trying to convey their hatred of a character and trying to foist it upon the rest of us that they forget that characters have both virtues and vices.

The Myths About Ravenclaw
It is said by many that Ravenclaws are all about being smart. WRONG. Others say it's all about being quick-thinking. WRONG. More still say that it's all about swotting for exams. WRONG. Ravenclaws can be about those things, but not principally, and certainly not solely. Listen well to the Sorting Hat's songs and you will find that being a Ravenclaw is also about having a love of learning and a thirst for knowledge.

1991 Song:
Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,
If you've a ready mind,
Where those of wit and learning,
Will always find their kind.

1994 Song:
For Ravenclaw, the cleverest
Would always be the best.

1995 Song
Said Ravenclaw, "We'll teach those whose
Intelligence is surest."

And only those of sharpest mind
Were taught by Ravenclaw.

So, you see, in the three songs, it is revealed that there seem to be three main qualities which Ravenclaw House prides itself on: intelligence, cleverness and learning. So remember, when you think of Ravenclaw, do not think only of intelligence and cleverness, but also that those who have a passion for learning belong there too.

Well, that's all from me for now. Farewell!
