While traveling through Mirkwood, Thorin and Bilbo get separated from the others. Thorin finds himself having to work very hard to protect Bilbo as the hobbit continues to get himself into danger, while Bilbo realizes that he is a magnet to misfortune. The woods is full of peril, including confusion, twisted roots, poisonous plants, large spiders, suspicious elves and vicious orcs.

The fact that many Hobbits, especially those of the Great families such as Took and Brandybucks, were skin changers was a secret kept tightly within the walls of the Shire. Bilbo has kept his nature hidden from the Dwarves but soon the secret proves too difficult to keep. How will the Dwarves react and how will Bilbo's true nature effect their quest?

Thorin, Kili and Fili were severally injured after the Battle. Bilbo stayed because he wanted to help them, even if he was banished from Erabor. A few years after Bilbo Baggins returned home form his adventure he was forced into another one. He is forced to flee the Shire with his young nephew Frodo and his neighbor's son Sam.

Prompt from a friend for some Bagginshield/ Bilbo mpreg. Please read the authors note inside so you can get a full idea about what to expect. Bilbo is exiled from Erebor because of what he did to save everyone he cares for. He leaves to head back to the Shire not telling Thorin he is expecting for fear on how the dwarf king will react.

It's the typical Head Boy and Head Girl setup. Good news though. While this story has all the makings of your standard, farfetched Hermione and Draco fan fic, it is devoid of the usual grammatical errors and poor writing. Yay. PreHBP. No spoilers
