UPDATES:

This is it! After 2 years and 7 months, I have finally finished my long-ongoing Dramione fic, Charming! A HUGE thank you to everyone who's been following and staying with me! And to my reviewers - I love you the very most of all. Thank you.

I will continue to write sporadically now that Charming is done. I would like to write another longer fic someday, but for the moment it'll most likely be random one-shots. I won't disappear. You can also find me elsewhere on the internet - please read on if you'd like to find out where. :)

GENERAL BIO:

Hey internet, I'm w1nter!

There's a few embarrassingly old things here (as is usual with any of my profiles anywhere on the net) but I'm a university student now, and as I'll still be putting my fanfiction pieces here when I get the chance, you can expect things to get better with time.

I'm also on FictionPress.com as w1nter, so feel free to go check me out over there! Although I have a lot more writing stashed here than there and some of it is dated by a couple of years, I'll be putting my new original pieces up there when I can, so it should be worth a look. :)

About me... As I mentioned, I'm a university student. I'm an Australian girl who speaks English and Dutch fluently, as well as learning French. Reading and writing have been my favourite things ever since I can remember. I'm also a big fan of the Harry Potter series, Doctor Who, A Game of Thrones (books and TV), and a few other things too, but that doesn't define who I am, obviously. I'm friendly and happy to chat about basically anything related to words or cool fandoms, so drop me a line if you like!

I’m also a beta reader! My Beta profile should be just up there in the corner, so if you have a decent fic that needs editing, I may just be your girl. (Please note that due to my current workload, I'll only really be able to take one-shots, or infrequent chapters of longer stories.) Again, feel free to drop me a line. I have beta'd works by Noofle and Auindel, so if you want to ask them how I stack up as an editor, you can always chase them down too (links to their profiles are in my favourite authors below).

Also, Noofle and I set up a Doctor Who forum a while back, which can be found here! Check it out if you like, it's gone a bit quiet but we're all very friendly. :)

Just something worth noting:

I have a lot of sucky fics at the end of this list, and maybe at the top, too. I keep them up, and allow them to be passed around and laughed at because; really, not every fanfiction author woke up good. They didn't.

I am not going to delete them. I am not going to modify the summaries. They just show how naive and immature I was back then. Nobody's perfect. I am gonna show you something proudly probably nobody wants to anymore: imperfection.

I am not. I am not perfect. Have you ever considered that some of the best authors grew up from writing a little story with many misspelled words to writing bestselling novels each year?

Don't modify your fics. Who knows when you might want to see that story you wrote when you were a child? Laugh at it? Mock it yourself? Happy that you've improved?

Nobody has a selection of all fics that are all good. And if they do, guess what? I bet they deleted the crappy ones.

The fact that you can allow other readers to see from the bottom all the way to the top is a very good thing to let them do-- let them see that you, too, had your bad times. It's sort of like being born in the 80's, and in the 2000's, you realized that hairdo really didn't fit, not at all. But then again, you can't throw away the photograph because you had a lot of good times there.

So whether it sucks or not, I am going to keep it up. Do your worst!
