![]() For the record, the image in my icon is not mine. (However, the grayscale and wording are my work.) And anyone who catches it does not need to correct my reference to Greek mythology, because, actually, my pen-name is a reference to the heroine in the story my cousin is writing. Who is even cooler than her namesake, in my opinion. About me: Name: Sorry, won't tell. All you need to know is that my name is short and very boring. Age: Have fun guessing. In person I seem older, but I have a weakness for books, shows, and movies that may make me seem younger. Location: USA, the Midwest, to be specific. Though I'll always be a West Coast girl at heart. Hobbies: Reading, writing, acting as copy editor for my friend and cousin, reading way too much fanfiction. Likes: Sleep, coffee, dark chocolate, Post-Its, people who are funny in a non-obnoxious way, contacts (wonderful, wonderful things), volleyball, the color blue, UK English (it's usually what I write in), notebooks, pens, accents of the non-Midwestern variety (yes, people here do have them. Just ask anyone that says 'kay-seh-DILL-uh.'), my pillow-hogging dog, randomness... Dislikes: Fingerprints on my glasses, wide ruled paper, the color teal, people that don't even try to spell correctly or use proper punctuation and grammar, being tall and klutzy, my natural haircolor, the amount of noise my siblings are currently making, garden gnomes, the smell of peonies, LEGUMES OF DEATH (ahem, peanuts), and much, much more. Favorites: Books: The Gemma Dole Trilogy, the Inheritance Cycle, A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Looking-Glass Wars books, Wicked Lovely, Ink Exchange, Thirteen Reasons Why. TV Shows: Jane and the Dragon, Jacob Two-Two, Law and Order: SVU, Pushing Daisies... Not necessarily in that order. Movies/Videos: Pirates of the Caribbean, Sweeny Todd, Finding Nemo, Kung-Fu Panda, VeggieTales, 3-2-1 Penguins!, and... Transformers (but only because of how fun it is to watch with the little boy I babysit. Nothing like saying, "WOW!" every time a car, plane, or robot comes on screen). Writing: I'm new to fanfiction--well, writing it, not reading it--and for now this account will probably just have a few random JatD drabbles and such so that I can pass the 5 stories/6,000 words requirement to beta. But my Master Plan is to one day use this to secretly post fanfics for my cousin's story. nods vigorously I've been working on my own original story for about a year now. It's not my first, but it's the only one that I've worked on continuously for longer than 4 months. It's this whole big, complicated thing that is taking forever to work out. (If, for any reason, you want to know about it, feel free to message me.) Once I have passed all of the requirements, I will be offering my beta services for the Jane and the Dragon, A Great and Terrible Beauty, Looking-Glass Wars Trilogy, and Wicked Lovely catagories. Because goodness only knows how far this writer will go to avoid working on her own projects. |
