The Dawn of Man

A Bella and Rose fic

Summary: Takes place during the Cambrian period. Banished from her troop because of her mysterious anomaly Bell is forced to defend for herself in the Amazon basin. Fortunately a week into her banishment she comes across Rose, a fellow exiled kebos who have recently adopted an orphaned infant. After a shaky start the two decide to stay together and with the help of Bell takes the starting steps towards evolution.

Author Notes

The purpose of this story is the show the steps primates took to essentially becoming modern human. This includes things like forming nuclear family instead of troops, creating fire and sleeping on furs. Of course each of these skills took several thousand years to come into play but for the sake of this story, all these skills will start in the same generation – beginning with the main characters Rose and Bell and essentially passing on to their family. For sake of originality I made the ‘chimpanzees’ into a fictional character called ‘kebos’. These ‘kebos’, Latin for long tailed monkeys, are a general mixture of chimp and lemur and early human. There characteristics (physical and otherwise) will be posted to chapter one of this story.
