AU: When Princess Emma's ship is captured by the Jolly Roger and Captain Killian Jones, she offers herself as a hostage for ransom if he will let the ship and the other passengers go. When the Doctor and Jack need to hide from the Family, an excited TARDIS lands them in 1913. An instant attraction between the Doctor's human counterpart, John Tyler, and the school librarian, Rose Tyler, makes Jack worry and the TARDIS pleased. This story assumes the Doctor did not meet Rose Tyler in 2005 and Jack has been travelling with him since the Blitz.

Their year with the Master left wounds deeper than they wanted to admit, but now, the Doctor and Rose are ready to take the time necessary to heal. Part 6 of Being to Timelessness-falls in between VOTD and S4.
