![]() Author has written 10 stories for Sherlock, Doctor Who, Kingkiller Chronicle, Harry Potter, and NCIS: Los Angeles. G'day. Ghostly's the name, writing's the game. Native to the fantastically dangerous Australia. Yes, I wrestle with crocs and eat spiders for breakfast. Favourite method of transport is the emu, despite most of my friends preferring the more comfortable kangaroo - it has a pouch, after all. Got two dingoes, eight koalas - which are not bears by the way - and a kookaburra for pets. And if you just believed everything I wrote, well... Don't ever make friends with an Aussie. It won't end well. For you, anyway. I one day hope to be a published author, but until that day comes, I'm just stuck here piggy-backing off other artists'/genius' concepts. Good times. Sorry for my recent lull (that's lasted for way too long, and doesn't exactly look to be ending all that soon, either), but all I can say is that the words haven't been working, and real life imposes. I hope to be back in business soon, but 'til then, read, write, and soldier on. About my works, well, you may write what you like about the. Honest, if you loved it, let me know - promise I'll chuck a party my end - if you hated it, let me know that too, just mayhap with what and why - gotta have something to improve on, right? Probably be sticking to works about Sherlock, the Kingkiller Chronicle and Doctor Who, but you never know, eh? I've only just worked up the courage to write for Harry Potter, and I've recently ventured into the NCIS:LA universe. None of my work is, nor ever will be, slash/smut/you-know-what-I-mean. I don't do explicit, and I avoid excessive swearing. Call me a nun, but none of that does it for me. I owe many things to the fabulous littleoddstar, no least the feedback for my perilously slow updates, and will gladly bow to any words words of wisdom they wish to impart. You should follow their State Of Being and Light fics, 'cause they're incredible! Read 'em. Please. Neckee777 is a fantastic writer, and an even more brilliant friend. He's only got a few stories, but they're golden. He writes for the Elder Scrolls and Doctor Who, so if you're a fan, check this kid's stuff out. Please. There are a coupla others I feel I should mention. sevenpercent writes for Sherlock and portrays the consulting detective as autistic. This is a different spin on the man, and I strongly encourage that you read them. My eyes have been opened. DeejayMil is just about the most riveting writer I've ever had the honour to read, and her fascination with mixing His Dark Materials and Criminal Minds is something that I didn't know I'd been waiting for until she came along. She's widened my horizons. I read all the time. And I mean, all the time. It's a little unhealthy when exams come along, let me tell you that. Listing all the books I love would take up way too much room, so I won't. I'll just give you a few, yeah? John Flanagan and his works, Bryce Courtenay - may he rest in peace, Robin Hobb's Farseer and Tawny Man trilogies - thrilled she's written a new series with Fitz and the Fool. The Skulduggery Pleasant series, well, brilliant. The Kingkiller Chronicle books are so, so worth reading - although Rothfuss needs to get a move on an release the last book. Harry Potter, childhood. Cheers to everyone who read this, Ghostly ;) |
