![]() Author has written 2 stories for Five Nights at Freddy´s, and Dead Space. Hey, I'm the one and only PyroFox. Stupid name, I know. I'll probably change it some time. Also, I'll try to keep my profile up-to-date. August 26, 2019 Took less time than I thought; my new chapter is up! Thanks to Sarichow for the finished product! My DeviantArt profile is called "AnInvisibleMan", though I don't know how easily you can find it on Google. To access my DeviantArt quicker, go to the DeviantArt homepage and add /aninvisibleman to the URL. Man, I wish this site allowed you to link things! I'm also now on Ko-Fi with the same username - AnInvisibleMan. Please don't feel like I'm demanding money; I write because I love it, and that will (hopefully) never change. However, if people decide to throw a dollar my way, I will be extremely grateful and may even start a list of people who have donated. So, a little about me. I was born and raised in the great state of Missouri; some people think that means I talk like a cowboy, but I'm not really country. Oh, I'm also a guy. Just realized I never specified that. Currently, I'm a Senior in college at a public university. I am a Christian, but still strive to understand other people's religious beliefs or lack of, because I accept that I may be wrong. I've especially studied Islam and Buddhism. Lately, I've especially struggled - if I ever convert, I'll update this. Additionally, I'm trying to integrate religion into my stories; they are about ordinary people confronting the supernatural, and that would change anyone's perception of God. That's something I think a lot of authors on this site shy away from doing, so I'll take a good crack at it. I just hope I don't come across as preachy. Last summer, I had an internship reviewing movies at a local newspaper, seeing as how I want to be a film critic for a living. It doesn't pay all that well, but it's my dream job and I know I'll somehow make it work. I thinking writing fan fiction has actually helped prepare me for that, as both are exercises in saying a lot in few words. I'm also pretty liberal in my political views, but we'll probably get along fine as long as you aren't one of those damn alt-right Internet Nazis. Fortunately, I don't think there are many of those on this site. I'm currently attempting to play the Halo series on LASO (Legendary All Skulls On) because I want all the achievements in The Master Chief Collection. I never thought of myself as a great player, but I'm actually doing OK. Just finished Halo 2, in fact! Hardest gaming experience I've ever had. I'm on Halo 3 right now. Also, as a little something extra, I'd like to voice my negative opinion of a little group here on FanFiction called Critics United. In my experience, they tend to be white-knighters going around and axing off as many stories as possible. While not as big as they were a few years ago, I've seen several of my fellow authors put blurbs like this in their profiles, and I have to agree. While I myself follow site rules pretty much to the letter, I don't like that other writers can be punished for not following the guidelines, when clearly reporting them is not worth valuable time. If this was, say, a website for professional authors, my opinion would certainly be different. However, this is not the case. It's FanFiction, not Shakespeare. Even though I'm very proud of what I write, I fully acknowledge that at the end of the day, I've written something that is completely unpublishable, as I would be sued for copyright infringement. We're all violating international law by writing this stuff, so the next time you want to call someone out for breaking a site rule, keep that in mind. I'm also an Eagle Scout, which I am extremely proud of; earning that was the hardest I've worked in my life. Now, on to the fun stuff. Favorite Movies: This is a tough one... I love all sorts of films, so I'll break it down by category. I'm an aspiring film critic, so my choices might be a little pretentious... we love to be contrarians. Action: Pacific Rim Comedy: Venom (not intentionally funny, but still hilarious) Crime: Ocean's 11 Drama: The Graduate Fantasy: Any of the LotR or Hobbit movies (which I think are extremely underrated) Horror: The Thing Romance: Her Sci-Fi: Wizards Superhero: Avengers: Endgame Thriller: Blue Velvet Western: McCabe & Mrs. Miller Favorite Games: Also pretty tough, because video games are a great hobby of mine. FPS: Halo 3 TPS: Mass Effect series Horror: Dead Space 2 Puzzle: Portal 2 RPG: Skyrim or Mass Effect, it's too close to call Stealth: Dishonored Adventure: Pokémon Ruby (Are Pokémon games adventure? I don't really know.) Rouge-like: Pokémon: Mystery Dungeon series 4X: Distant Worlds (Not many people have heard of Distant Worlds, but it's absolutely amazing. If you have 60 dollars and a decent computer, I strongly recommend checking it out.) Other: Meteos Favorite Books/Writers: I'm not a huge fan of reading. I know, I know, what kind of author doesn't like reading? Me. I try to do it at least a little every month, but it's hard for me to find books that hold my attention. Fanfiction, of course, is always interesting, but I'm afraid I'll read one that's particularly original or cool and accidentally plagiarize it. Still, there are a few exceptions. Fantasy: LotR Trilogy (obvious, yes) Sci-Fi: Till A' the Seas (short story) Teens-Brutally-Killing-Each-Other: Battle Royale Non-Fiction: The Autobiography of Malcolm X Author: Dave Barry (He's hilarious; read some of his columns online.) Favorite Music: I used to not particularly care for music, but over the last couple of years, it's grown on me. This is in no small part due to the soundtrack for Guardians of the Galaxy which is my favorite ever. So, yeah, I know more about '70s and '80s music than most of my peers, which is fine with me. My favorite musician is Weird Al, because he's hilarious. Some standout songs include Little Talks, Halo, and my personal favorite, All Around the World by Oasis. That's all for now. If you have any questions about myself or my writing, feel free to send a PM my way. |
