Sherlock's torture left a mark not just on his skin but on his mind, and it's beginning to change how he interacts with those around him. As Sherlock's wounds begin to fester, he has to face his worst enemy- his own mind, and his lack of belief in his own worth to those he holds most dear. EDIT: Rating changed to T for increased gore and violence references.

When John receives a phone call in the middle of the night, he knows that something has happened to Sherlock, something qualifying as 'not good'. He is, however, not prepared for what has led to his friend's injury and hospitalisation. And he certainly isn't prepared to face the question if Sherlock will ever recover properly from what has happened.

Post-Reichenbach. Molly cares for Sherlock as he recovers and stays in hiding after the fall, but living with Sherlock can be full of challenges. Will she put up with it, or put him in his place? A compliment piece to my other story 'A New Page', but works on its own too. Rated T to be safe.
