You enter the library, gaping at the timeworn volumes carefully stacked on the shelves that line the room. The rose-colored carpet squishespleasantly under your feet as you step past the baby grand piano that's piled high with sheet music. You round a corner to find an enormous leather armchair surrounded by stacks of even more books, sheet music, and notebooks. The inhabitant of the armchair is a young woman in a bubble-gum pink silk dress, chestnut brown hair curled around a diamond tiara. She glances up with suprise from the book she was curled up with. "Oh, hello," she chirps. "I'm Pimpernel Princess." She leaps out of her chair and shakes your hand, "It's so nice to meet you. Pull up a chair and I'll get you some coffee." You clear the mess of papers from the nearest chair sit. "Here you are," Pimpernel Princess hands you a steaming cup of coffee and plops back down. "Welcome to my profile."

I've been on the site for a while, and it has been there for me during times of transition in my life--some rough, some pleasant. Writing is therapy for me, but I hope not only that my stories are reasonably well-done, but also enjoyable to read. Some of my youthful exuberance present in my older works has been tempered by experience and cynicism. But as with all people, I am most certainly a work in progress.

I am a passionate scholar of music, especially music history. I also love well-written books in many genres. Coffee has become my beverage of choice. I love fantasy worlds not only for the magic, but mostly for the clothes. When I grow up, I aim to be a princess.

I want to finish all of my in-progress stories, but sometimes I get bogged down in this spectacle called life. Sometimes a little encouragement is all I need.
