Breath of the Wild, pre-Calamity. A glimpse of what life might have looked like for Princess Zelda and Link before the Calamity came and how they slowly got closer after starting with misunderstandings. Trying to follow the story in the game as closely as possible. Rated M for mentioning blood in later chapters, nothing gore but mostly just to be sure I'm following the guidelines.

They say that Heroes are born with greatness in there hearts, that they are infallible. To Princess Zelda, this anecdote rings ever true of her Silent Knight, and it infuriates her. How is that he can find such great success without restraint, and yet she cannot fulfill her birthright? Is he truly perfect? Or is she wrong about everything she thinks she knows about him? The world is plunged into all of darkness and the only chance at salvation is a teenage goat herder, Link. He must find a way to not only save Hyrule, but deal with his difficult partner Midna and his mysterious pal Sheik. Twilight Princess AU with Hyrule Warriors crossover. Zelink.

They had won. Peace is restored. With their century-old mission completed, the Broken Princess and the Amnesiac Hero are left to pick up the broken pieces of their lives from an age-long worth of regrets, grief and emptiness.

Essentially a continuation of Breath of the Wild if Link had not died and Zelda got her powers at the last spring so she was able to seal Ganon away the first time around. I will be including characters from the game that technically wouldn't exist until 100 years later but I wanted to have them interact together. Zelink shipping is present but nothing excessive.

Takes place immediately after the true ending of BotW. Link and Zelda's duties are far from over as they have some people to see after Ganon has at last been sealed away, particularly Mipha's father and brother.

There's always a chance that the next moment will change everything. After the end, it's time to rebuild. Post BotW. Some spoilers.
