Greetings, People of the Land of FanFiction,

I am The Broken Warrior. I'm new to writing fan fiction, but not new to writing. I've been making up stories since I first knew how to think.

I have all sorts of things I'd love to write about if I had the time, and so many alternate endings and ideas for books I've read, but I limit myself to retelling fairy tales. Someday this may change, but until then I'm happy to sit with Brothers Grimm in one hand and a cup of tea in the other.

I have a weakness for romance, though I read and write nothing with explicit sexual content. I don't enjoy abusive relationships, either, having seen too many in my life to see than for other than what they are. I just love it when a guy is nice to a girl and treats her with respect. What can I say? I like knights and chivalrous treatment of women.

I feel very sorry for unrequited lovers, even though often they are rejected for good reason. Authors can be very cruel to their characters, but so can life.

My favorite books are: The Silmarillion, The Lord of the Rings, Children of Hurin, Ivanhoe, Out of the Silent Planet, Jane Eyre, and A Severe Mercy.

I'm working on two fics, 'A Stroke of Twelve', and 'Geschenka's Tower', and I have one on hold, 'The Waves'. I'm rewriting what I've got so far because it's stuffy and dry. I can't wait to get back to posting it, though!
