Forced to admit that Crocea Mors didn't feel right in his hands—no matter how he held it—Jaune Arc struggled to overcome this obstacle through the insane idea that Aura could become more than just the armor that protected him. Barriers broke as he pushed past the limits of what Aura was capable of, creating and forging his very own weapons from the manifestation of his soul.

When Jaune Arc was just a small child, his mother gave him a tiny seed to grow and nurture as a way to learn responsibility. His father gave him a useless Dust Shard to study power and focus. Only problem, the little Arc had wrongly misinterpreted their lessons and ended up creating Remnant's one and only Dust-Dust Fruit.

Every family has its odd member, the one that doesn't fit. Jaune was just that, the black sheep. He had always wanted to be the hero, to be a Huntsman. But when your name is Jaune Salem Arc - Prince of the Grimm - and your mother is understandably against the idea, what is a young man to do? Why, run away to attend Beacon in pursuit of a dream, of course. What could go wrong?

One day, a young student of Signal Academy receives a package from home, containing the journal of a long dead relative. But what is Jaune Arc going to do with said journal, and how will it change not only his world, but that of those around him?

Remnant. The word left a bad taste in my mouth even now, so many years after I'd woken to find myself in this living nightmare. The strong survived and the weak perished, trampled underfoot by those with the willpower to do what was necessary. My goal, then, was simple: to survive, regardless of the cost. Realistic character progression. Abandoned.

This series may be over, though you can still read the rewritten version of this story under its new name. "RWBY: New World Hope" I hope to see you all there for this new redux of a familiar story with a familiar character.

Jaune once had the desire of becoming a hero. While that desire still remained, he had a new goal by the time he tried to enter Beacon. But while he may have entered Beacon, it wasn't as a student, much to his own surprise. And now he must contend with the perils of his new job whilst preparing to combat a great threat. Final year at Signal High and it seems like it'll be the same, at least until that prodigy had to be the younger sister of the most popular girl in school decided to latch on to him -of all people- and drag him into the open. After dying in the final battle against Salem, Jaune is sent back to the past with one power to take with him that he had gained in previous life. Problem 1, he's five. Problem 2, he hasn't unlocked his aura. Problem 3, he has no idea what his semblance even is anymore. Oh well, if he's going to save everyone, it's probably for the best if he gets a head start on it...

He didn't know the first thing about teaching, Hell, he didn't even know the first thing about fighting! A shame then, that his forged documents painted the picture of an accomplished and skilled warrior. Now he's trapped teaching students his own age how to be hunters, when he doesn't even know himself!

Seeing that young man die in initiation was horrifying for her. Even with all her time in the White Fang, she hadn't expected to see such an idealistic man as Jaune Arc die like that. It should have been nothing more than a tragedy... Instead she's now stuck with the lingering spirit of this guy following her around, and no one else can hear or see him in any way. Jaune x Blake
