A Season 7 project. This story takes up Downton Abbey where Julian Fellowes left it, beginning midway through 1926. This is a serious attempt at a "real" season, embracing all the major characters, and most minor ones, and major/minor plotlines for each of them. There will be 7 (or 8) episodes plus a Christmas Special. Rated T for allusions to mature subject matter.

What if Tom Branson had a twin brother? What if Sybil Crawley had a twin sister? What if something had happened when they were babies, separating them from their identical siblings...only to be reunited NOW, over twenty years later? In the process of organizing what were once private rooms, one seemingly insignificant memento reminds everyone that we are all a part of a story that began long before we were born. A drabble series spanning Robert and Cora's relationship, with prompts all generated from the tumblr imagineyourOTP. Each drabble will be 500 words or less and will depict various points throughout their lives. Spoiler Alert for Series Four.

News of Sybil's upcoming nuptials arrives, and Cora and Robert have a decision to make. Tensions rise, tempers flare, and they find their themselves in a tough spot. How will they overcome their differences and come to terms with the decision their youngest daughter has made?

CHAPTER 40 IS UP! Modern AU. Robert and Cora take their three daughters on a cruise, but is all as it seems or are the girls keeping secrets from them? And then there's the man Cora keeps seeing, does she recognise him or not, and if she does what does it mean? The past is full of memories, but are there some that have been buried and now threaten?

Robert Crawley, a young finance professional and the heir to an English earldom, meets art student Cora Levinson on the New York subway one afternoon. The pair slowly fall in love...and then the unexpected turns their plans upside down.

Almost a year after their marriage, Robert and Cora set off on an adventure. Not all of the baggage they take with them can be carried in one's hands. Accompanied by the Levinsons, who have their own secrets to maintain, how will their holiday mold the rest of their new and fragile marriage?

Cora and Sybil share a moment on the eve of the birth of Sybil and Tom's child. This story takes place in Season 3, sometime between Episodes 4 and 5. This is a bit of a departure for me, but the title words were an inspiration.

1895, heralded by cheers and chimes, leads Robert Crawley to reflect on his parents, wife, children, estate - his life. He comes to realize how, in a single moment, life can change forever - a single moment with the gravity of decades, the effects felt by everyone in a myriad of often unseen ways. Caught up in a moment of anger, Robert and Cora leave Downton soon after their wedding. Their impetuousness, however, is not without consequence, and they soon learn that the world is quite unlike the insular world of Downton. Pre-canon AU.

Modern AU:It is the modern day and Downton is the county seat of the Earl of Grantham and his family. In order to keep their ancestral home, they have turned Downton into a money-making enterprise. A beloved tourist attraction and wedding venue, the Crawleys and their employees navigate the sometimes dramatic, never dull world they find themselves in.

When Tom and Sybbie arrive in Boston, they have a surprise welcome at the harbor.

Robert and Cora travel to New York to visit Cora's family. While there, Robert is confronted with the fact that he is not the only one who has eyes for Cora.

A collection of drabbles, all of which have a muse word. Each chapter will be a different word, starting with a different letter, all alphabetically organized. Some are drabbles from my tumblr account, but those that are new will be denoted by an asterisk (*) after the chapter title.

Sequel to my precanon AU, The Broken Places, set in the season 1 era and starring Robert and Cora, and a grown-up Charlotte and Eleanor.

It is 1938 and once again the world is on the precipice of war. How will the inhabitants of Downton Abbey fair? Will Downton itself be able to weather this storm? A tale of two trips to Egypt for Cora and Robert, one as the young viscount and viscountess, and a second as a 40th anniversary celebration. I promise the traditional angst and longing for the 1880s journey, and romantic fluff for the 1929 vacation.

Modern Day AU (Sequel to Addicted to Love): The Crawleys cross the pond to spend a few weeks with the Levinsons to celebrate Isidore's birthday.

Cora Levinson has been given every luxury money can afford, but lacks the name to break through the upper realms of her American Society. Robert Crawley, the heir to the Earl of Grantham, has the name and family history, but is disappointed to learn that his countryseat is in danger of being lost. This is the story of a great opportunity and the way in which it presented itself.

December 1920. Christmas was always a magical time, but with the wounds of the year still fresh and swirling blizzard in Yorkshire, will Christmas magic find it's way to Downton? My entry for the Cobert Holiday Fanfic Exchange 2015. My word was 'clandestine' and my image was the snowy path.

Modern AU — Grey's Anatomy, ER, House MD and all your favorite Downton Abbey characters (including the dead ones!) Kind of a Chelsie heavy tale but there's plenty of Cobert, Banna, Richobel and Baxley tossed in for good measure. Lots of medical drama, cussing and even some sexytimes. Stays close to canon in terms of major events, just transplanted into a modern setting! Spoiler-y?

Young Cora Crawley is happily settling in to her marriage to Lord Downton. All that's left are for her to have a baby and for Robert to fall in love with her, and she doesn't think either will take very much longer. Until there's a terrible accident... Precanon AU.

CHELSIE, you can be guaranteed plenty of Cobert fluff, sassy Dowager Countess, adorable if not mischievous little Mary and Edith, Carson's affection for little-girl Mary, Sybil's birth and the drama around it - and also the story behind why she's no doubt Cora's favorite and why she was always so special to Elsie, & you never know where other characters will pop in!

Based on two anon prompts: Tom's mom and sister come to Downton Abbey from Dublin to help see Sybil through childbirth. Complications, both emotional and medical, ensue. Canon through the start of 3x05.

Cora is tipped off that her miscarriage so many years ago may not have been a tragic accident...The idea for this story came to me after reading a Tumblr post stating how Julian should have brought the soap incident into light and let Elizabeth and Siobhan act it out. And I thought that would have been great. This is my attempt. AU for O'Brien's departure.

Unable to cope or forgive Robert after Sybil's death, Cora takes Violet's advice and travels to Newport to recover from the loss on her own. Lost without his wife, Robert soon follows her there with only one goal in mind: to win back his wife and bring her back home where she belongs.

AU one-shot in which Tom and Sybil are not forced to leave Ireland, and Cora travels to Dublin shortly after Sybil has given birth. Canon through the series two Christmas special.

Modern AU. Robert Crawley is the owner of a large chain of 4-star hotels in Europe. Cora Levinson is an American on holiday, rumored to have capital she is looking to invest overseas. Will what began as a carefree affair over her holiday become more? When the media gets wind of their romance, what will happen when she is confronted with Robert's true motives for seducing her?

Robert and Cora go home together after their visit to the Dowager Countess. 3x06 post-episode.

It's Mary and Matthew's wedding day! But amidst the joy and excitement surrounding one lovely bride, another bride can't help but wonder what it may have been like, if her father had looked at her with the same awe on her wedding day, as he looks now upon her older sister? Emotion, heartbreak, and romantic fluff. (Based on pre-series 3 speculations; now *happily* AU!)

An old dispute with the Dowager Countess over parenting techniques comes to a head when the Crawley daughters test their boundaries and Lady Cora learns their darkest secrets.
