Basically, I'm on here because I can't stop writing. When I don't have my own characters or setting, I do fanfiction. When I do have my own characters and setting, I write original fiction. Most of what I write is absolutely awful and I fall so easily for cheesiness it's unbelievable, but I have actually managed to get a few of my stories published in various small-time magazines. I've also finished writing my first novel, which almost ready to be sent off to agents / publishers. Look out world, here I come.

At the moment I'm at university doing physics, which is useful for when I write sci-fi, to say the least. My favourite area is asteroseismology (sounds of stars). I'm also working towards a piano diploma. A lot of my (original or fanfic) stories stem from listening to / playing music.

I'm fluent in English, Afrikaans, German, Xhosa, French, Italian, Greek and Arabic (mainly because having lived in seven different countries kind of forces you to learn new languages fast!), and currently learning Latin and Ancient Greek. I’m also interested in learning Chinese, so if anyone here speaks it, please get in touch! Let me apologise here and now for switching between American and British spelling, it’s very annoying.

Reading (classic, contemporary, and everything in between. My favourite genres are sci-fi, fantasy, crime, etc. and I love anything to do with ninja / samurai / martial arts, etc.)

Avatar: The Last Airbender (love the mix of fantasy and martial arts)

Music (playing / listening to / composing etc.)

Painting / sketching / drawing etc.

Whitewater (ooo the thrills ...)

Muay Thai, Ju-jitsu, Judo (I'm a junior black belt). Also yoga and meditation.
